    Hi again guys.

    So due to the success of our Mk2 Systems we're going to be offering our latest development, our Mk3 Megane Exhaust system.

    Here's a link to the Mk2 Systems we've been working on if you're curious;
    http://www.rsmegane.com/threads/cgr-automotive-mk2-and-mk3-exhaust-system-group-buy.11426/
    http://www.performance-exhausts.co.uk/news/megane-225-230-r26-3-inch-exhaust-system

    Here's some fresh pictures of the first system we built and there'll be a video up shortly (once we've sorted out some PC troubles) with in-car as well as out of car. Again the video doesn't really do it much justice but it gives you a rough idea.

    As always you can spec the system to be as loud or as quiet as you'd like, it still comes with our uprated mount kit with custom powerflex bushes made specifically for us for longevity and a perfect fit.

    The pictures show the system with an optional extra silencer, optional de-cat, and optional oval rear box (actually for a mk2 that particular one but you get the idea) because the system is modular you can spec it however you like with as many or as few silencers as you'd like.

    As pictured if you order a decat at the same time we can fit that with a V-band fitting too to really complete the job.

    We can offer these systems in Titanium for those looking for the lightest possible exhaust system for your Megane.

    So key points are;

    Back-purge TIG welded to Aerospace standards;

    How the tube is prepared and welded is the most crucial part of the job. Every weld joint on our systems is TIG welded, however the difference between a good weld joint and a bad one is chalk and cheese. There are other systems on the market that have been TIG welded but none to this standard. The way we weld and fabricate our systems mean the joints are far stronger while being light and having NO restrictions. We could talk for hours about the fabrication process and how time consuming it is (we will tell you if you ask as long as you promise not to fall asleep).

    Differences between back-purged and none-purged welds when fully penetrated;

    V-Band fittings

    The CGR system is held together with V-band connections not only to ensure an easy fitting and removal of the system V-bands are lightweight, with an extremely positive connection guaranteeing a perfect seal every time without the need for gaskets. This is usually a technique used in the motorsport market that we have used religiously in our race and road car systems since we began building exhausts as they are the perfect way to join the various exhaust components together.

    Polybush Mounting Kit

    The standard Megane exhaust hangs on mounts which are renowned for failing and being extremely unreliable, they also have a tendency to not hold the exhaust particularly well leaving it shaking and moving beneath the car causing further problems. We decided if you were going to fit the best exhaust system possible for your car, it would be pointless hanging it on the standard mounts so we developed a simple, yet strong, light and most importantly effective way of hanging the exhaust system, using powerflex polybushes to ensure a permanent solution which far exceeds the standards of the original component. EDIT: Now even stiffer using custom powerflex bushes made specifically for us.

    Fully Customisable for Individuality

    When we originally began developing the Megane exhaust systems, we 3D Laser-Scanned the underfloor of the car then CAD modeled the pipe routing around the tunnel, rear axle and rear floor-pan and incorporated where the tailpipes and silencers would need to fit within the jigs, allowing for unlimited options to be spec'd without seriously affecting the construction process by using modular jigs which allow us to adapt to fitting different silencer and tailpipe options. By having the CAD on-hand too, if we have any special requests that would not normally be catered for we can verify the amount of room and clearance we have in the CAD for whatever request we have without having to see the car or make modifications on the car.
    If you want a couple of decent size silencers with subtle tailpipes so you get the performance and quality benefits without being in anybody's face, that can be accommodated in the same respect as if you want something that's loud and more obvious (such as the pictured demo system with a very small silencer and proud tailpipes).

    Pricing;

    The way we're going to price the systems will be as following, there's going to be a standard retail price for a single system on it's own, a 10% discount on the groupbuy if we get over 5 orders, and a massive 20% discount if we get 10+ orders.

    The 20% discount will ONLY apply to the first 10+ systems sold as part of this group-buy as we simply cannot afford to offer them at this price in the future. This is an introductory offer to bring the systems to market and a way of saying Thank-You to RSMegane for letting us use their forum.

    The price will be a base price which will include the following;

    3" Mk3 Megane Cat-back Exhaust System
    CGR Polybush Mount Kit for Mk3 Megane Exhaust
    Standard Rear Silencer (5" or 6" round silencer, slightly bigger than the demo car but still quite loud)

    Larger oval boxes can be specified and extra silencers that fit in the centre-section pipe can also be specified.

    Now we shouldn't do this but since the systems are so similar we're going to be including these in the Mk2 System groupbuy, where over 5 systems have already been sold. If we reach the 10+ mark people who've already paid will get the difference refunded too them

    RRP £870
    Groupbuy 5+ £783 CURRENT PRICE

    Groupbuy 10+ £696

    Upgrade Back-Box to Oval £50
    Additional Front Silencer £80

    All prices include VAT but exclude shipping

    There's probably a few things we've missed off but feel free to ask any questions, whether it's commenting on the post, PM'ing us, emailing or calling we'll try our best to get back to you ASAP!

    Thanks for reading, and hopefully speak to you soon :blush:

  2. What's the price on the down pipe? What's the volume level compared to the 225 system on you tube?

    Decat is £200, sports cat is £375
    Quite a bit quieter but still sounds awesome, however because we can change the boxes to suit your needs, we can make the system as quiet or as loud as you'd like. We have made some dead quiet mk2 systems, in the same respect we could make some insanely loud mk3 systems.

    Although we don't normally quote sound figures as 90% of Megane's we sell systems to have a completely different list of modifications, we measured this system at 90db static, this car still has the cat in and has standard induction. So is as close to a standard Mk3 we have seen so far engine wise.

  4. That sounds superb, I can't wait to hear this when you release the video as it sounds like what I'll be after.

    Your work looks really really good by the way

    Thank you very much :blush:

    What exactly is it you're looking for from it? Like I said they can be made to your exact specs so there's not (if anything) that'll be a problem

  6. The 225 system in the video was slightly loud for what I want but at the same time I don't want a quiet system so at 90db sounds pretty much perfect.

    I'd say most people with the standard cat in would want the same set-up as the first mk3 system, sounded good without being obtrusive at all, really nice tone to it with 0 drone and a good noise when giving it full beans

    Video now live of the demo Mk3 system we built. Again video doesn't really do it much justice but shows we do know how to build more sedate systems as well as lairy ones. We recommend listening through headphones or good speakers :smile:

  9. I take it that car isn't decat also ? I think I would like that but with a decat and it would sound perfect !

    Correct car still has standard cat and induction, the chap is planning on either decat'ing it or sports cat'ing it in the future so we didn't want to make it louder now and then be too loud in the future, this is with the standard 6" round rear box :smile:

  11. That's going to be the system for me, just need a car now and ill be ordering one.

  12. just saw they've posted a video of the mk3 megane

  13. That sounds really good! As i have a decat and mid-box chop done on my car, it feels too loud for me, and actually it sounded better with only mid-box chop, now it is too "raspy" or smth., i cant find a word to describe it. Do you happen to know is it going to be quieter if i add one 200cel sports-cat under the car? If so, how much would it be from you? I mean only to buy the sports-cat and install it myself.

    We sell sports-cat downpipes for the Megane for £375, or is it literally just a sports cat body you're looking for?

  15. Actually im after a sports cat body only, to install it under the car, as i already have the decat pipe and dont want to mess with the changing of it.

    Now we've got the Mk3 systems live we're looking to close the groupbuy within the next couple of weeks as we're overwhelmed with work and need to make sure we've got all the order for now in and on the production line. We'll confirm the date soon but it will more than likely be within the next 3 weeks or so.

    Cheers,
    CGR
