Pro Race 1.2 - spacers needed?!

  1. i went to put my team dynamics pro race 1.2, ET53 and it looks like the hub flange of the wheel, which must have a depth of around 20mm, is longer than the available metal on the inside of the wheel

Is this the same for everyone else?! I know it's a popular wheel

If so, what spacers are people using - hub centric ones I assume?

  2. I dont have those wheels, but if i understand you, the problem is that the cars hub flange is too long compared to the inside of the alloy wheel? If so, i think you have to use some non hub centric spacers which are quite thin like 2-5mm to make the hub shorter. As the hub is so long, i think there are minimum of at least 15-20mm hub centric spacer what you can use and then you are ending up with too small ET for the alloy to sit properly. I hope you understand what i meant

  3. That is *exactly* the issue

I've now ordered up some 5mm spacers and 20 tapered, loose bolts (like the OEM ones). £220 :-/

I didn't have the issue with OZ wheels though!

  4. About the 5mm spacers on my previous cars, i didnt have to use longer bolts with them as there was plenty of thread left on the original bolts to cover that 5mm extra. Im not shure about the Meg bolts lenght but if its the same you can save up some money.

  5. Well....

I don't disagree the bolt may reach, and hold the wheel on

But the additional strain on the bolt would concern me

Ultimately the bolt now has 5mm less in the hub, and I wouldn't feel comfortable with that !

  6. Usually the bolt stics out on the back of the hub.
