250 Exhausts

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by nated84, Jun 7, 2016.

  1. Looking at Exhausts for my RS250 now.

Want something which will pop and bang, heard that Scoprion are ok as ive been looking at some on eBay.

Obviously will feel better with a remap which I will go to RS Tuning with once got.

Any suggestions with exhaust systems

    Thanks

  2. Imo they all sound very similar unless you go get a custom one built up. If it's just more pops and bangs you're after try taking the midbox out first, will save you a bit aswell. I have standard catback with midbox chop and ktr decat, when hot the bangs are unbelievable

  3. From what I've learned of YouTube videos, a rear box chop will provide even more pops and bangs compared to the mid box chop.

  5. This! I have one friend with a Miltek system and with an Akrapovic system and mine is hands down 'better' than either. All I did was take out the mid box. £50! It makes the car about 10% louder, not much really, just enough to sound like its a sporting car and the pops and bangs are brilliant, especially when 'pressing on'. A friend who was out with us couldn't believe the sound of my car and told the others to do what I had but it doesn't make sense to cut up either of theirs. Its great without being too loud day to day. I'd strongly recommend doing this before spending more on a full system etc.

  6. So basically easier to remove the mid box then?

Would any exhaust garage be able to do this, would want something a bit more louder.

Any recommendations for garages around Northampton which would be able to do this? Or just a case of searching Google myself for exhaust garages.

    Thanks all

  7. Its a straight piece of pipe that needs cutting out and replacing with a piece of stainless so it should be fine for any garage that can do exhausts. Google it

  8. If you don't mind a drive take it to Bicester guy called Chris (Badger) Longlife/Hard knockspeed. His work is brilliant and he done mine, think I paid £70 for mine.

Plus it'll be warm enough on the way home so you can really hear the pops and bangs

If you're interested I can PM you his number. I know him so might be able to give you discount.

  11. Had my mid box removed last week by my local exhaust place for the princely sum of £60 all in. Made a before and after vid of it.
