The radio on my phase 1 225 is shocking. I've had the car for 5 years and I've only ever been able to get radio 1. Now in the past couple of weeks the radio keeps dropping signal and "searches" then goes off. Anyone else had this problem or know of a easy fix without changing the standard system?
I had this on my old Clio 172 and it turned out to be the power to the aerial that had come out of a connector.... worth checking wiring on back of the unit mate...
You haven't got a very short ariel on it have you? I changed mine for a PSA type and it made the reception terrible. Just a thought.
Nope, I used to use the small one but that was even worse, so just got the standard one now. I'll check the power cable, I had the radio out recently to fit an aux cable so could be that.
The standard fm aerial isn't powered is it? Im almost sure it isn't, its just one cable like an old pre-digital tv antenna.
It'll be the same as mine. Did self test on radio shows fault code as radio antenna base. Needs replacing.
I have a mk2 1.9 Dci and I have changed my radio to an Alpine double din and still my radio is crap as well!
