I have an OMP wheel and run a boss on it too which i always thought was one for the mk2 megane, Its possible that its a boss to fit the 197 clio though (i can't remember I've had it a while)...

Basically when I turn the column housing clicks, inside the steering column that holds indicators, etc there is a spring mounted piece of metal that the poem boss/wheel pushes down to avoid clicking, on my boss its like its too short to be able to push it down properly so its constantly clicking on turn.

Now the boss fits well and is 100% secure so I suppose I'm asking is there a way to push the metal spring mounted clip down to make it bearable?

does any of the even make sense?! haha!

  2. My mates just fitted a MOMO one to his, with a sabelt wheel, and he had this clicking. Turns out it was the squib.

Nkt sure if right boss. But on my boss, the same one as his. It's got it's for a Laguna? Biught from DemonTweeks.

Interesting! Yeh it's the squib, the boss is too short to push down the silver spring.

    So the MOM7216R is Laguna/Megane?

  4. It just says Laguna on my box. But questioned this when it arrived from DemonTweeks and they assured me that they was the same. I've just not fitted it yet.

Do you think there is a way around the clicking? Using something to act as a spacer to push the silver spring down you said about?

No idea mate that's what I'm thinking myself, there must be something that'll do it. If snap the spring out but don't wanna be pikey with it.

  6. Wel my mate needs a new squib thing put it that way.

Sorry mate not sure what you mean?

  8. Did this one ever get solved? Mine is doing the same with the same kit - but don't want to get another hub if it's the same however 1960RE117A rather than MON7216R seems to be advised?
