ECP + Brembo are they the same as Renaults?

  1. I have noticed ECP (Eurocarparts) have started stocking Brembo pads, they do a set for the 225 for £39.99 well £29.99 after discounts.

    Product Code: 10174560A

Whats the differences between these pads, and the ones from Renault for £100+ (I'm assuming it's just RenTax) but just wanted to make sure.

    Thanks.

  2. Renault are ferodo pads, the brembos will be oem spec equivalant.

  3. Worth spending £60+ more on getting them from Renault then?

I assumed Brembo is good quality so maybe it isn't.

  4. Next to brembo marking on the oem pads theres normally ferodo stamped into the material

  5. Im using brembo pads on my 250, they do me for pottering about, not as good as ebc yellow stuff, but on par with oem without the squealling like oem are known for on the 250.

  6. Thanks for the info.

    Brembo's are fitted now.

I might consider EBC Yellows in future.

Yellowstuff is a waste of money, the standard pads are better imo

I use EBC pads and find they bite better than standard. Haven't tried the yellow stuff though! Redstuff will do find for pottering about!

  9. I originally had pagid's from ECP had them about a year, absolutely rubbish bite from cold.

    Just poor all around.

  10. The yellow stuff on my 250 were way better than standard.

  11. I was about to say I have a new set of brembo pads here in an unopened box you can have for £25 delivered, but seems you have a set now (?).

  12. Really Matt how come? Initial bite/ overall stopping power/ fade etc?
Just wandering as I was considering a set. I had heard they weren't up to proper track use but better than standard?

  13. I had a set of Yellowstuff front pads on a Clio 172 before, and they really didn't last long at all, after 1 track day they'd gone down so much!!:anguished: I wasn't impressed with the performance of them either and that's on a light car!

I'd use them on the rear as they're cheap enough, but definitely not on the front of a Meg.
You'd be better off spending the money elsewhere when you upgrade IMO.
