Afternoon All, I hope someone can help. I have recently taken delivery of my 275 Cup S with a standard exhaust. I would like to make the car sound a little louder and free up some more pops and bangs.... what are the most popular ways of doing this? Aftermarket systems? Decat on standard car? any help is appreciated! thanks T
thanks - although I would rather not "chop" the standard exhaust. has anyone fitted a decat to the standard exhaust? if so does this make a difference to the sound? thanks,
Well tbf, if you go after market cat back, youve got to cut the exhaust to get it off, and the majority of the after market cat backs dont have a mid box anyway, and a decat takes hours to fit.
Mid box chop is easiest and cheapest by far. Have not regretted it Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
We've got our group-buy running at the minute for our 225 230 R26 system, however we've had a lot of enquiries for Mk3 systems so we're looking to include those too if you're interested. http://www.rsmegane.com/threads/cgr...6-exhaust-system-group-buy.11426/#post-126224
I didn't really notice any noise difference with a midbox chop just a few more pops. Decat is the way forward for overall pops bangs and noise. When the exhaust is hot the bangs are crazy!! Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
It would all depend on how they do the chop. If its clamped both sides then all you need to do to refit is to get some sleeves to sleeve the box section back in place. On mine thou, they only clamped the front part, the back was welded to reduce the chance of it leaking as the joint would be against the flow of the exhaust.
