What modification?

  1. I'm dying to modify my new Megane (275 cup s) but don't want to go mad with spending money on it. I'd quite like eibach pro lowering springs but would also like to maybe enhance some noise from either exhaust or induction. What you guys done on this end? Also it's the first turbo car I've owned so as you can imagine the noises are much more interesting than some of the NA cars I've had!

  2. Map is normally the first item, instant 40-50bhp increase

  3. Unfortunately it's a lease so bolt on only or so I believe..even that is frowned upon!

  4. They'll never know it's mapped....

  5. Ultimately, if someone wants to check if your car has been remapped, they can. It's not hidden and untraceable in the ECU.

Not a problem really, unless you get into a situation where its loaded and it might be, ie an insurance issue, warranty if Renault is anal.

Roll the dice? take the risk? declare it?

  6. Probably one of the main reason I'd hate to lease a car!

  7. Yeah, who likes to keep their car stock?

  8. True as a lease car i wouldn't change anything, to risky

  9. But I can't afford a brand new Meg 275 cup s. This way I can get into a brand new car for not much more than £200 per month:smile:

  10. As your asking for bolt on's only
Springs plus fitting £250, Midbox chop £50 and a panel filter £25 (with the foam removed)

That should keep you happy for a while.
Then you'll want, decat, remap and an intercooler.

  11. Could you tell me more about the mid box chop and the panel filter? I would love some more turbo noises but not sure id get bored/annoyed of them

  12. I nearly leased a MK7 Golf R before my 250, thank god I didn't!

  13. Inside the standard air box there is a piece of foam, removing that alone adds a small bit of noise but replacing the standard panel filter with a Performace filter would be best.
Mid box chop removes the middle silencer, it's £50 for it to be "chopped" out and replaced with a straight pipe. If you wanted you could replace the silencer when you return the vehicle. Or just leave it out I doubt anyone would notice.
