Part exchanged my Clio 172 for a 225 Trophy last weekend and enjoying having space and the turbo. Was originally looking for an F1 but this was too cheap to ignore and feels a bit special being such a limited run. Going to try not to fiddle (ruin!) it too much as it seems to be pretty much stock but going to tidy it up a little and make it as good as I can. I tend to do as much work myself as I can and have found forums really useful in the past for this kind of thing. Already solved the "check injection" fault that came free with the car after searching on here. So, er, yes. Hello
Welcome to the club StoatInACoat. I'm in Kent too. The forums already answered lots a questions for me too and saved Renault labour prices. Now if I can only persuade my driver's door handle end piece to come out I won't need to take that to Renault.
Ironically I was considering taking my door handle apart this weekend too as it stays out and has to knocked back in when you open it. Gather it's a case of removing a grommet and poking about with a bit of wire?
Yep, remove the grommet, use a bent coat hanger, bike spoke or something the pull the lever inside the door towards you and then wiggle the door handle end piece out. The main handle part then slides back and pivots out. You might need to disconnect wires if you have hands free locks. Passenger side came out easy for me but the driver's side seems stuck solid even after flicking the lever fully. I'll keep trying. Hopefully yours will just pop out.
Great cars. Mine is no178 what is yours? Whats your plans with it? This site i great for sorting out issues
