Had to come the long way to work this morning (as its sunny and theirs a 20mph limit on the road I usually use). This meant using Cheshire's finest B roads on this gorgeous sunny Friday morning. Haven't owned the Megane all that long and really wasn't aware of its handling capabilities, never the less a Brand New Merc E350 tried having a go, so obviously I was obliged to show the mustache wearing German barge how good these Renault Sports are. And wow, I was very very impressed with the set up. Doing breakneck speeds (up in the ar*e end of the Merc all the way) over 30mph more than I could do in my previous car, tuned Astra Coupe Turbo and the Merc couldnt do anything even on the straights. Thankfully I'm glad to report just how good my Brembo 4 Pots are, when I really had to test them on a very very tight right hander - Squicky bum time  Overall I'm loving the 225 Cup/Lux. Cant wait for the drive back home later. Then again it is Friday 13th so I might just take it easy on the way back
Its quite amazing isn't it how capable they are even as a 11 year old (as mine is) car. I love embarrassing substantially more expensive cars off the lights/round the twisties. A few more choice mods and they are belting. I live in Kendal up in the lakes and its a fantastic place to go for a drive in the sunshine. Also got the dales on the other side of me so these cars come into their own. Enjoy it.
Wow, sounds like you had fun The extra speed says more about the Astra than the Megane though, to me.
Thinking of having her lowered. I see that alot of people use the Cook Sport springs (when there is some available), do these also improve the handling even further?
