So my megane is back from what can only be described as surgery. A lot of people will know my car gets driven hard but it also get treated with what ever she needs. I've just had Cambelt and waterpump Aux belt Oil and filters Fuel filter Anti rotation links Swivel hub bearings upper and lower Clutch pressure resivoir thing Gearbox linkage mount CAE fitted Ate 200 fluid change Alignment Set of 235/45/17 AD08R Car now feels insane and the cae can only be described as fucking epic and can't thank Chris who done the work for me she should be ready for nurburgring next week
Waiting on your thoughts on how it performs, looks fantastic but want to know your thoughts on performance from it before I consider the leap. The MTEC one I didn't think made much difference at all.
Subframes look like they go quite low which is good. Guessing you used the original subframe to floor bolts and the original seat belt buckles bolted to the side mounts? Looks very good mate Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Love the look of your Meg mate The mk3 has really grown on me this year, they look brilliant with just a few simple mods! Nice to see it gets used properly too
Looks genuinely fantastic, a properly fun car!! Can I ask if the 17's fitted ok? Or have you had to do anything to get them to fit over the calipers?
Thanks chaps. With these yes I've got different caliper bolts with hex heads as they caught slightly however it all depends on the wheel as I know ats gtr don't need different bolts
Great thread . Stuart's Clio will be ready Tuesday R26 engine and box . I'm thinking about coilovers for mine as he's already quicker than me on track . Keep up the great work love the gear shift. John
That CAE shifter On how many clicks do you have the Clubsport set on? Getting Mine fitted wednesday and need a starting point Verstuurd vanaf mijn MotoG3 met Tapatalk
4 days and 25 laps later of the green hell the car had been fantastic!! Cae is insane, ad08r where great and the trip was overall my favourite yet. The new owner of the fastest megane on the nordshleife wanted to do a lap with me which for me was amazing. Highlight Inc passing a 991 gt3rs who I then moved over to let through and he waved me on and followed me for rest of the lap and gave me thumbs up. I over took a LOT of German cars and managed a new pb of 8.10 with some hold up at foxhole.
Brilliant Matt. I've seen your posts over on Facebook and also Instagram. Great to see you really are getting the most out of the car. The Ring is on my radar for the Megane at some stage, having done it in a Clio previously I reckon the Megane would be epic around the Nordschleife. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Good driving there Matt, something that I noticed is it looks like you've got a lot of (throw) movement in your CAE not sure what the difference could be but mine seems a lot closer.
Really? hmm that's interesting but I didn't so unsure but it feels great but I may look in to that as id love it closer
