250 Any issues running 17" wheels?

  1. I'm looking at buying some 17" track wheels that I've found, but thought I would check that there won't be any issues. I'm aware that 17" wheels are generally very close and it does depend on the wheel itself. I just thought I would ask and see if many people are running them.

The ones I'm interested in are 17" team dynamics 1.2 as they are nice and light, not too expensive and have good calliper clearance.

The reason for wanting 17's is that I can get the wheels cheap, and tyres are a lot cheaper too, so there are some nice benefits.

  2. How much are the team dynamics in 17"? You seen the wolfrace prolite wheels? They look very nice without the centre caps and are fairly light too.

Only thing I've heard with running 17s, 17x9 et45 and shave abit off the bolt on the calipers. Something like that anyway.

  4. I've got a friend who has got a set he's thinking of selling so I was going to buy them off him. 8J and et43. Good for 225 tyres.

You've made a good point about the calliper bolts though - they are pretty chunky. Hopefully these will fit. If my mate lived a bit closer I could try them on first but unfortunately he doesn't.

Those wolfrace actually look pretty good! Do you know what the quality is like? I fancy the team dynamics because I've only ever heard good things about how well they hold up to abuse.

  5. Don't blame you for going TD's mate just thought I'd mention the wolfrace. Not heard no reviews on them I know a few older mini race cars run them and a guy on my Instagram has them on his 250, 18 inch though.

Regarding the bolts, like I said not 100% sure but I have heard you gotta shave them.

I may go for the wolfrace next month in 17 inch.

  6. I have a set of TD 1.2 17" and they fit perfect with no modifications on my R26. Don't think mine are et43 though, I reckon they are et55 as there is only a 7mm difference between the TDs offset and the OEM R26 alloys.

Going to 17"s saves a good bit on tyres

  7. Any pictures of them? Is yours on coilovers or springs?

  8. Mine is on Cooksports springs. No pictures, will try and get some later in the week for you.

  9. Cheers pal. I'm tempted by 17s but I don't want to much arch gap

  10. Lol, arch gap isn't improved going to 17"s. If you care about the looks then best sticking with the 18"s.
