265 Bike Rack?

Discussion in 'Exterior & Bodywork' started by OiNK, Jul 25, 2014.

  1. Is it true there is absolutely no form of back or roof mounted rack suitable for the 265 to carry mountain bikes?

  2. I've read that Thule used to do one..

the 250/265 doesn't have the holes inside the door openings for it, though, so don't know how that was fastened..

btw, the manual for the car states, that it is not allowed to attach trailers, racks or stuff like that, so I guess it could cause problems with insurance, should anything happen..

  3. Damn, that is what I thought, looks like the back seats will be going down

  4. mine has holes on the inside of the door.. I've seen someone with one on the other site

  5. But correct on the manual side of things . its not approved on the rs's

  6. My MTB fits with the seats down but both wheels (26") have to come off along with the saddle and post. If you want to have it on the roof try having a look at Sea Suckers, very expensive and I am not sure if they would be Renault approved.

  7. My MTB fits in the back of mine as well with seats down and just front wheel (26") removed..

  8. ahahh.. what year is yours, mitch? mine is 2012 and I'm positive the holes aren't there..

  9. 2010. 60 plate 250

  10. I used to squeeze my bike into the 250 without removing any wheels. It's doable but a right paint to get back out!

  11. You can buy a roof rack for the rs
Seen a few on here who have had one on

  12. not for mine, at least - doesn't have the holes in the door openings (see above).

  13. Mine has them and the rear bar slots in the rear window rubber or something like that
