Disconnect the battery. Make sure you have your radio code though.

Just go and put another £10 in there
    It'll catch up eventually

  4. Yeah noticed this myself if the engine is running when filling up, the gauge always stays the same, I always turn mine off now and no problems

  5. You fill up with your engine running......??

  6. I was thinking the same! Is that even allowed?

Signs at pumps say not to do it, but it isn't actually that risky. It's not going to blow up or anything.

  8. Because petrol vapours aren't highly explosive or anything! :-)

Lol at leaving it running whilst filling up

They are but most modern pumps are clever enough to stop that leaking. Google it. Quite interesting.

  11. Yeah but why do you need to even leave your engine running??? Making a quick getaway or something??

Fuck knows. Seems retarded to me. The ONLY logical reason I can think of is if you know your battery is shit and might not start back up again.

  13. ha anyway problem sorted, disconnecting the battery didnt sort it so just put more fuel in and it sorted itself out.

    Told ya

  15. No, but I think twice at the most I have just got out the car and started filling up then noticed the engine is still running, hence why I realised the gauge doesn't register the fuel going in

  16. I think once.... And turn the ignition off so the garage doesn't think I'm stealing fuel in my super ninja bright yellow car....
