  2. Nice.

That by hand or you machine polished it?

  3. By my cold dead hand !!!

  4. lol, good effort

  5. Thanks !! 3 hours well spent me thinks. Black may be a bugger to keep clean , but cleaning a black car is like therapy. ......

  6. It looks amazing indeed despite the wrong size wheels ;-)

  7. Black is so satisfying to work on yeah.

I don't think they are so much of a bugger to keep clean - I had a glacier white R26 and the tar spots were a constant nightmare, which on a black car you don't notice.

3 hours is good going too - that would have taken me a weekend

  8. Cheek !!!

Yep Xanda , normally I think it would take me a weekend , but I was on a tight schedule, so pulled my finger out royal !! Agreed over colour. First clio 200 I had was black..then switched to white on the second. The tar spots were more difficult than. A good regular clean and detail on the black one...and I thought white would be easier !!

  10. Just missing tyre gel !

  11. I don't like shiny tyres !!!! Otherwise I'd have don't that as well. At some point it does come off though and always all over your car.

  12. Get a matte one then, tyres just look really dry otherwise especially on black

the reason it gets on the car is people using too much, you need the tiniest amount and then I often buff it too - never get any issues on my LY paint

  13. Must admit I've never bothered with the tyres myself. When I've had them done professionally I let me do em. But I've never bothered. Will give it a shot next time, as I agree about them look dry without being dressed.

  14. What brand do you use Matty?

  15. For me, I use the AG tyre shine. If you put it on with a cloth and rub in you get a matt finish. Spray it on and leave it for gloss.

  16. Cheers Xanda. Will give that a go

  17. Seconded on the AG stuff!
I've actually got a little block foam applicator like those kiwi shoe express things.

I spray the AG onto it and away we go onto the tyre. Normally wash at the end of the day so it sits on the tyre for a night. Never had issues with splatter
