Hi fellas Have a 250 Cup, the tyre pressure sensors wouldn't work on the drivers side front and drivers side rear. So booked it into RenTec here in Scotland and got them to fit two new ones, driving home and the same two went off again. Car is showing the 'Tyre Pressure Sensors Absent' on the display, if I pull the battery then reconnect it they work for a period of time then go off again. Brian at RenTec is going to do some more investigation work on Friday when it is in for the cambelt, water pump and dephaser. Does anyone have any ideas what could be up or has anyone had this sort of problem before?
Awaiting an update to this thread with interest, as both of my drivers side sensors are also showing as 'Absent'.
Update: This morning, I was pulling and refitting various fuses on the glove compartment fusebox, trying to resolve a 'Check Auto Lighting' error message. Anyway, after refitting all of the fuses and starting the car, all four tyre sensors are now back up and working. Fingers crossed they stay that way.
Mine are still showing this and I've got no signs how to fix this! Very annoying when I'm considering selling the car
Nope RenTec never found anything, it's really starting to annoy me now....it's making me start to dislike the car [emoji53]
Swap the wheels from one side to the other, they will auto detect after a few yards driving, if tyey stop on the one side then i would say is a receiver fault. If it moves with the wheels then it could be the sensors
The 250 came with continental contisport 5s which are not directional (at least I cant see an arrow on them myself) so if he has those tyres he will be fine
