I currently have the original 19inch wheels, looking for a 18inch wheel for winter use, but was interested in how much difference there is between them in ride comfort, if its significant I might just get 2 18inch sets and try to sell the 19s? Ps I live in belgium, so lots of bad roads, potholes, speedbumps... 18x8J et50 should fit on a standard cup chassis car right?
18x8J et50 will be fine, I'm currently running an 18x8.5J et55 wheel. Having ran both I'd say there is a difference in ride comfort but as I generally use car for track and suspension is set pretty hard I couldn't say for certain how much of an improvement there is but I did feel it rode better. I bought some 19's then sold them as felt car generally drove / handled better with the 18's anyway.
18 inch all day. Cheaper tyres, better ride quality. Plus for different section winter tyres, the 18 inch is a better choice.
When my tires are getting lower on thread Im switching to 18's and sell the 19's I think. I was looking at Autec Wizard in black for winter use since they are quite cheap and for summer maybe team dynamics, not sure yet.
Autec Wizard would be great choice, perfect wheel for that money and lightweight also. Im thinking of buying one set of them myself, only in gunmetal. Take some pictures when you install them For the right quality, i had 19" on my previous Cup and now 18" on my new car, but i cant tell you that there are lots of difference, both of them are uncomfort on our bad roads But im using 225/40 tyre on 18" wheel, i think that its little bit better with 235/40.
They are offset 35 though, which is way low.. edit: sorry, also available in offset 50 I see after visiting manufacturer website.
Will probably order them next week.. Gunmetal colored wheels + darkblue/silver car(rb8) hopefully it doesn't look like crap.. Google images
It will look perfect for the colour combo! Nice Red Bull Edition you have here! As the ET is better on Autec wheels compared to OEM ones, they will sit much better under there.
