R26 Interior lights fade in / out - help

I'm quite sure you're mad.

 

I've just tried mine, they do just go straight on and off when locking/unlocking.

Possibly, wouldn't know how to check tho, not sure if I'm that fussed.

 

Tried battery disconnect? Probably the only way to 'reset'.

You will have to reset your windows after you reconnect the battery. Basically with the windows closed, hold the windows up button for about ten seconds. Do this for each side otherwise they will raise and lower about an inch at a time, you will also get an esp disconnected message on the dash, just turn the steering wheel lock to lock with the engine running and it will disappear, alternatively just drive for a bit and it'll go.

 

Check mine this morning and they don't fade on or off when locking or unlocking.

 

Just a thought; is it something to do with the Lux pack option or the light pack??

I've not checked mine but will pay attention when unlocking the car this evening to go home. I'm pretty sure the interior lights just come straight on rather than fading in...

 

No lux pack in mine. Or lights pack. ( I presume lights pack includes xenon's etc)

 

Mine fade in and out and it's a 225 f1 which didn't come with xenons

 

The lights in my mk2's (a 225 cup and r26) both came on instantly, but faded off..

Perhaps there's a secret dimmer pack option!

 

I checked this when leaving work this evening, my lights neither fade on or off! Damn I don't have the super-secret-interior-light-fade-pack

 

I'm happy that they even work. I don't like suspense anyway.

 

Basically this! Does anyone else have a bug where sometimes the instrument lights don't come on and have to switch headlights on and off to get them to come on? Happens maybe 1-2times a year?

 

I'm not overly worried tbh. Seems to be a software bug rather than anything more sinister. Just amusing how no one seems to have the same features!

 

I've noticed mine sometimes turns the auto headlights off when I turn the car off, or sometimes it happens after I've turned it off and when I open the door. And most of the time they only turn off when I lock the car!

 

I think there's something we're missing here - I just unlocked and then locked my R26 out of the window. The lights both came on and off instantly, but I know at times they do fade in and out.

Can't be bothered to go out at this time to check but I recon it depends on weather your in the car or not (door opened or not?)

 

Mine only go off when I open the door.

 

I'm quite sure my instrument lights only come on when my headlights are on.

 

That's what I mean. Sometimes they haven't come on when I put the headlights on

Checked again this morning and the interior lights turn off immediately when locking/unlocking.

when starting or stopping the engine they will dim until they are on/off.
