Despite the wonderful sound my R26 makes I was wondering if anyone has upgraded the door speakers and if so what did you use to replace them with? I'm looking to change mine but need the 5.25 slim ones to keep it looking stock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
pioneer used to make direct replacements for this because of the crappy slim design. The mounting point is so poor..i doubt if it will sound much better.
Thanks! I may have to machine a mounting point then! I will take a look when I pop the grills off at some point! I saw some from Fli which I used to have when I had a full install in one of my old cars but I wasn't sure they would be the right mounts!
I put some JBL components in mine,I had to cut away some of the water sheild behind the speaker though! When I fitted them I put some bathroom sealant around them so that no water comes in via the speaker surround as I have read on some forums. Good luck buddy as I believe it is worth it.
I used kickers you have to remove a little bit of the surrounding behind it but there the same size speakers and really good quality Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
