Had my clutch, dmf and csc changed in August, 4000 miles ago. Recently the clutch pedal ha been squeaking a bit. Other morning the clutch only came back up half way after it had been pressed but pulled it up with my foot and seemed OK. This happened a few times after so took it garage and he's lubed the pedal and bled the clutch. Now the pedal is stuck on the floor and I can't get it in gear. It made some god awful juddering and the engine eventually cut out.
Just gone through the whole peddle half way and bleed slave cylinder again malarkey on mine, just new original spec clutch and slave cylinder fitted last week. Seems OK but tbh its a rubbish feeling peddle now and was rubbish feeling before the new clutch. Can you see if the slave cylinder has leaked? Sounds hydraulics as if something physical broke it would likely happen during use as happened on my Range Rover when the fork that pulls on the clutch snapped off.
Do you have enough brake fluid in there? Otherwise it dose sound like a csc problem so you might have to claim on your warranty. The symptoms you have described are EXACTLY the same as what I was experiencing, albeit a different model, and my problem was the slave cylinder too
I'm unfortunately sure this whats up with mine again, it's 13 months old now but my clutch pedal seems all over the place, the bite point can be on the floor, if i feel it bit that low i can dip it a tiny bit and it resets back to its normal position near the top.
Oh god. Does that mean stripping the car down again like he had to when he did the clutch? He'll be happy about that!! He said today the brake fluid was black so he put fresh stuff in the whole system?
Its a shared fluid reservoir I believe so its logical that a complete refill would require bleeding both.
