You lucky duck. I've given up on my dealer fired off 4 emails in the last month asking for a build date and rung twice including yesterday!! Still nothing! Ford should have sacked off the ford store crap from the start and just let you ordered from a dealer you know you can count on. really hope the car lives up to expectations
I think it will live up to my expectations. I agree on the Ford store point, absolutely no point given dealers that status when they're clearly not prepared to live up to it. I've not had any info from my dealer for weeks, but to be fair he's been very reluctant to give me info as he has always said that until it's gate released, all other statuses are very unreliable.
Not just me then. My build date when I was told in January was down for april build so I'm still hoping that hasn't changed. I think most dealerships must think the RS's must be more trouble than they are worth given what some people are like regarding wanting updates every week
Ford's own fault for delaying build and gate release due to undeclared quality issues and not updating their network on revised timescales.
A bit of an update. Excitement is building to fever pitch with news that a UK owner may finally be getting their stickies on a set of keys in the next week or so. EVO mag have decided not to give the new Focus RS their best hatch crown. That still remains with the Megane.......interesting .... and they reckon at the Ford RS launch, journalists were not allowed a full lap because the brakes couldn't handle much abuse. Makes sense, 1600 kg is a lot of pies to keep hauling down.
The first cars are now trickling out and into private owners hands. How long before an actual physical car appears for sale at a premium, and more importantly, what tit will even consider buying it. The order books are still open.
i don't doubt the first ones will show up well over list, some people don't like waiting and want to be the first ones to get one, nowt wrong with that if you can afford it, but not something i'd do myself, the wait is all part of buying a new car.
Seen one on the M6 yesterday just before the toll on the long drive home to Glasgow from Crawley It looked decent but didn't seem like a new car, maybe because of all the hype and pictures etc.
Tell me about it, down and up in the one day to see something special we've had our eye on for a few years. To be fair it was pretty comfy/easy going in the CLS

Nice! I only ordered in January, at which point there is a years wait, although I have clearly dropped onto a cancelled order as I have an L order number and it should be delivered the end of June
My mate picked his up today, I should be going for a ride in it later I will let you know what it is like. Mine is being built next week so hopefully in about 4 weeks I will have it.
