Recently purchased canbus T10 W5W Led SMD off eBay to swap the ugly interior lights. And having problems 1. The door lights do not work when plugged in. The metal tips of the LEDs weren't touching the metal hinges so I bent them slightly so they would touch, still no luck. Swap the polarities, still nothing etc 2. The reading lights work OK but are dimly lit even when doors are closed. Thought the canbus was supposed to eliminate this? Haven't check if I accidently blew fuses yet but hope not!<br> The LEDs are not 510 ones, could that be the issue?? Possibly buying a diff set of LEDs work? Thanks gang
I had this problem a while ago with numberplate 501's they would illuminate but very dim, turned out to be a crappy earth lead if i remember correctly
The bulb is in the wrong orientation on your first picture, you need to rotate it 90 degrees, the flat plate with the power contacts on the bulb isnt supposed to sit between the metal clips, it's supposed to slide into them.
Wow I feel so dumb right now, thank you ripzay! I still have the problem of the lights being on lightly when they shld be off. I have a different pair of LEDs and they do the same. Maybe I'll get some 501s and see if that fixes it. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
