Sprayed up my side strip bullets silver as they were very tired looking and my rear wiper plastic surround Matt black as it was very faded. Also I sprayed up my dipstick, washer reservoir and radiator reservoir tops silver. Looks a lot better to me plus I was bored lol.
Fixed vibrating wing mirrors and replaced body colour wing mirrors with Cup ones. Cleaned the housings and polished/waxed covers too:
The finish is a tough coat sealent from Autofinesse followed by two layers of dodo juice banana armour and then one coat of dodo juice orange crush waxed on by hand rather than an applicator.
Won some 13cm JBL component woofers on ebay for £16.20. Hopefully I will not have to cut away any of the water shield behind the speakers.
I brought some kickers for my megane and even though there tiny I still had to cut away most of the rain shield as the standard speakers the magnets are no thicker than a pound coin lol
I will report what happens when I get them. Dremmel at the ready for the shields and the air box mod.
Had a new R clutch and engine dynamics smf fitted together with a new cam shaft oil seal as it was slightly worn and starting to weep slightly and had new powerflex gearbox and upper engine mounts fitted! Transformed the car, no more judders or anything! Expensive but exciting Friday and a nice weekend ahead to go and drive!
Got my new speakers and offered them up and yes I will need to cut some of the water shield off! Hopefully not too much but we will see! Oh and now the Mrs has gone shopping in the car now. Great:mad:
Going out for a blat in a minute ! Had one on my old 172 and loved the sound.. sensible money too
Mine makes such a loud tssshhhhhh noise and I mean loud goes well with the full miltek and decat popping on gear change
Finished these off, absolute tw@t of a job but they do look mint! Didn't get them fitted though couldn't find my rivet gun to reattach the bumper bracket to the lights.
Yes mate, 5 hours just to split one! Unless you have the patients of a saint then think twice. Used a heat gun and a craft knife, the sealant doesn't really go soft like the normal stuff does.
Yea mate, just a plastic primer and acrylic satin black top coat. Just don't rush it by trying to put to much paint on at a time, just put a light dusting on each time. Not rushing is the key mate
