There is a set on eBay from a Megane MK3 with carbon dipped rears that would drop straight in but they're £2000 Ones from Clio's will fit straight in regardless what anyway says although you need to switch a hinge and I thought they sat to high. (I sold a set for £1000) Other option is buy a set of Recaro CS seats direct / from elsewhere from another car and retro fit with frames and runners. (Works out around £1300 but you have the position tailored to where you want) I took the latter option and retro-fitted a set. Darkant listed a set for sale in January, I agreed a price (which was very good in fairness) went to arrange collection then he vanished off the planted on January 26th, whether his set is still available I don't know? I've no idea either if Matt (Odinson) has his set for sale or already sold as he's just changed to Recaro Pole Positions
Thanks for the reply...saw those carbon ones but 2k is too much for me...don't care that the backs are carbon dipped lol. Where do you get rails or runners or whatever it is you need to fit them to the car?
Aftermarket? Capital seating are very good They are recaro dealers I bought a set of trendlines for my clio cup back in the day
They should have rails that fit the mk3 but they probably wont be the same as the ones you get from Renault. You would also be looking at just under 3k for a set of rails and PU leather CS Recaros supplied from them.
No Capital Seating can't help you they have no frames that will fit the Recaro CS for the MK3 the only people who do is Renault trust me look at my posts on here I spent 8 weeks searching / trying. I took the seats to various places have them tested against KTEC's, OMP, Recaro Universal frames and none fitted. In end I had set fabricated and powder coated and they look ace.
Really? I was given a quote and everything for the lower frames from capital seating. They did say that they were running low on them though. Any pics of your new frames?
I spoke to a chap there originally who said they'd fit even though I was told they wouldn't. He went away rang Recaro and they came back and told them they definitely wouldn't. The seats I then bought came with the Recaro Universal frames which were a mile out. I then went down this route http://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/brand...t-megane-direct-fit-sub-frames/prod_1957.html which are Recaro specific frames but got confirmed they wouldn't fit the Megane MK3 RS but I took a punt with option to return and nope didn't fit, they fit the 225. I explored every avenue pretty much none of which worked so went and got a set fabricated. What WILL 100% fit is Clio MK3 subframes and runners because they are the same however they will sit higher than the Megane ones so your seating height position will increase. I'll take some photos of my frames later or if not tomorrow and post them onto this topic.
These are available. Straight from a Megane MK3 RS https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s...ne-rs-tausch-gegen-normale/437261707-223-4708 Works out £1435 for genuine ones, no messing around with frames etc, drop straight in. Only 80 minutes from Nurburgring, kill 2 birds in 1 stone. I'm actually tempted to buy them if I can knock price down to £1200 and stick them on eBay and collect when I go Nurburg
