  4. Looking good Mr. Robinson  I think I'm going to have to invest in some Autobrite products for my 225 Lux

  5. It will most likely be liquid rubber that you can buy, mix it, pour it in leave it set trim off any spillage refit - job done.

The pics won't load as I'm on my phone but I very much doubt it's normal epoxy, there would be no give in the mount at all and would be incredibly harsh for normal driving

  6. Spent the morning wrestling a Ktec cage in the back, what a bastard, got there eventually.

  7. Did the same a few months ago, almost gave up it was so hard to fit!

  8. I had to stop and have a cuppa and a calm down, it's a tight fit that's for sure!

  9. How are you finding the pads? I had them on a Clio and thought they were great.

I recently had the same fitted. 07 R26 was on its original pads so I didn't fancy much trying to take out the old pads, glad I didn't as Paul at Tech-1 had similar fun one of the original pins bent in half. Pads have much more bite than stock Brembo pads, if anything slightly to much cold bite for a road car. They do squeal a tiny bit sometimes on gentle braking but only sometimes. Overall I am happier driving with them then stock old pads as the stock ones are so weak the car had a habit of running on sometimes when coming on to the brake peddle compared to every other car I regularly drive (Pug 207 GT, 20 yr old Range Rover). Haven't been on track yet with them though so will be interesting to see how they fair.

My biggest disappointment is with the Brembo HC disks, the bells aren't painted so they rust and look gash within days of being on the car. Think I am going to have paint em with some black HT paint.

  11. Exactly how how find them, down to the letter

The initial bite I do like though - gives so much confidence. I've had the HC disks in the past as well and the same thing happened. They should be painted before putting them on.

Definitely, I think I am getting used to these pads. Only driven the car for 2 days since fitting them but the last little run out to the shops yesterday felt nice and smooth. I thinks its better to have a little bit to much bite than not enough as one can get used to being very gentle coming onto the peddle. Its a nice change to get really strong braking just with a squeeze on that peddle, makes quick cross country driving much more enjoyable.

  13. Took a drive up the hardknott pass epic !

  14. Been up there a few times on a push bike as its very local to me. Bloody steep, not sure id be taking the Meg up there. Did you bottom it out?

  15. No but had the abs kick in, wouldn't like to ride it wet, especially coming down.

  16. Pre MOT prep for tomorrow's MOT..... well I've had the seats out to hoover and generally blinged her too the max for tomorrow's MOT lol...

  17. Changed Window Regulator module on passenger side... what a pig of a job.. but after 2 months of no passenger window function, a happy man !

  18. I'm so used to having the door cards off to fix tempremental electrics it doesn't take long anymore lol.

  19. Lol - 1st time I've removed one... next time (and you know there will be one) will be easier

Didnt get the right hand bottom bolt in properly I don't think, couldn't get it to locate in the runner bar.. window doesn't go fully down I just noticed, leave it til daylight to have another look tomoz...

  20. Pretty much the exact same thing happened when I replaced my drivers side one. My window also doesn't go all the way down, stops just short.

  21. I'll see if removing / re positioning the bolt (properly !!!) helps Benno... it works, which is better than it was.. I know it will annoy me if I cant get it sorted though.. little irritations

Popped down the shop a minute ago, and every now and then when lifting the window, it then goes down again as if its detected an obstruction.. think I simply don't have the runners aligned properly with the 2nd bolt...

  22. Fitted my reversing camera today. Mounted it next to the number plate lamp. Right pain to get the video and power cables through the rubber tube grommet to get the wires into the boot lid. Rest of it was ok, just time consuming.

  23. MOT all done.... No issues which is good

  24. Gave the 19" STEEV's the second layer wheel sealant. Ready for summer!
