How about diy Matt? I did this on my old r26, used some card for a template then transferred it onto some material, covered it in audio carpet etc was pleased with it, I trimmed the sides better after this pic, can't remember much else as it was 2009!

  3. Nice job!

  4. Matt I'm in the process of having the same done, I'm going to source the part number for the Trophy R Cargo net, I presume if able to get hold of the part number for the carpet as well it'll be simple task to do.

I've a harness bar behind seat I can use with the cargo net.

But in reality the floor should be easy anyway as you've already the template for the back half. I'm going to create the floor template with some very light weight wood, then literally cut it straight down the middle and stick a hinge on the 2 ends so I can place it folded into the car with easy (plus it'll store easier) push to one side and unfold and it'll be snug into place held on its own. I'll then use 2 of the rear seat belt bolts to hold it in place and once thats all sorted carpet it one side with acoustic carpet.

I plan on doing it this weekend so if all is well I'll do a step-by-step guide and take measurements, in fact if it's going well I'll maybe make a few cut outs as I imagine wood / carpet / spray glue and 2 bolts the cost is going to be around £10-£15 all in

  5. Yes if it's going well make me one I'll buy it lol

  6. On that note what harness bar do you have

  7. The Ktec one but in White. I paid £200 for it.

  8. I would be keen to have one!

  9. OK! I have someone who makes carpets for the rear of the Mk3 Megane, so you can have any colour, edges different colours etc.

Also a reg for a Trophy R so going to look on Renault systems for the part number for the cargo net and other bits. I'll have the answers on Thursday to whats available and also the prices if of interest.

If it's to expensive I'll probably just create my own but if it's not to bad I'll go with the Trophy R ones as think they look pretty smart.

  10. Keep us updated as would love to have one

  11. Will do I'll post it onto this thread on Thursday

I'm also interested in doing this to my car, so Please keep us informed.

  14. I made my own for my R26 , 6mm plywood, some car carpet , strutbrace and NASCAR window nets , wasnt to hard

  15. I'd be interested in this too.

  16. And me!

Looking into a rear cage at the moment so would love to create a nice floor in the rear.

  17. Any update on this at all?

im looking at removing the rear seats in my 250, adding harness bar and netting, so the carpet for the floor would be awesome if someone is making a few

  18. On this subject, does anyone know where the Trophy R mounts the bar for the cargo net? I just want to maximise the boot space and get rid of the rear seats... the Ktec harness bar is too close to the front seats, and the rear strut brace seems to be further back than the rear seats anyway. Somewhere half way between the two would be good !

  19. Soooooooo......

After much running around, I've got the Renault part numbers and costs - see http://www.renaultsport.co.uk/forum/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1151335 where a very friendly guy who works at a dealership took some photos

The bar at the back attaches to where the rear seat clips normally go

    Bar is £340 plus VAT
    Webbing is £82 plus VAT

The bar is priced ridiculously expensive given all it goes is hold some webbing, so first of all I'm going to see whether I can get one made and then powdercoat it in whatever colour is needed

  20. I think those costs are still ex VAT?

I've got the webbing on order but if you've got a link to the bar, in the event I can't make one, then sure - cheers !

  21. How does the Webbing attatch to the floor? Any advance on the OEM rear carpet? If anyone has a reg plate for it, I work for a Renault Dealer, and can get you guys prices at my rates!

    Sam

  22. Webbing does direct into where the seats used to be - one of the reasons i got the OEM part to be honest. Still working on the final bar

Rear carpet.... have some from eBay, will be doing a template once I get the car back from RStuning

  23. Let me know if you end up re-producing anything! I'll take one!

  24. Will do - probably be mid May by the time I get car back and have time to sort the bar and photos etc

  25. Are you planning on making the bar structural for harnesses? I'm not particularly fussed about it but it would be cool if it was!

  26. The bar we are using is substantial but if you are serious about harnesses then welding the bar to the chassis would be my recommendation, and if you're doing that then you may as well just go the whole hog

wouldnt suggest harnesses with adjustable seats either, which the Recaros in my car are

  27. All good advice there. I can't be doing that though I bought the RS as my daily! I've got a 2ZZ S/C MR2 that's for the crazy stuff!

  28. I know you said middle of May but any update?

  29. Picking up the car Tuesday from RST, have a bar ready based on a prototype we did and measured, got the carpet.... Webbing is already in (definitely get Renault, it has all the clips in the right place for where the seat mounts used to be)...

    BUT

I'm also looking at sorting some uprated speakers etc so may get a false floor sorted. I'll take some pics once we sort the bar but it's likely I'll get something custom fitted with a small sub and amp where the rear seats used to be.

Assuming the the bar is all good, I have a company that can make them if anyone's interested.

Middle of May for updates

  30. I'm going for OEM on the webbing! Work for Renault so I get it at cost . The parts team and I were trying to find a part number for the OEM carpet but it's proving very difficult!

  31. Never seen it from that angle, I wasn't even aware that was in there!

  32. I'll try and find it all today. My parts guys are kinda slow!

  33. Right just a wuick update, I've been over with the parts team most of the morning. We cannot find the specific parts numbers for the carpers and floor mounted netting. However the bar mounted webbing, and the bar itself I have numbers for. Submitted a request to Renault for assistance but I won;t hear about it until I'm back in work on Wednesday.

I'll let you guys know as soon as I do, in the mean time if anyone needs anything I can get you some prices.

  34. Aye they're the bar and webbing numbers. It's the floor carpet and cargo netting; they're the evasive ones!

  35. Carpet is just carpet, surely?

but the floor cargo net would be useful

  36. update of no update - car won't be back for a week so it won't be this week

  37. The carpet is a moulded piece that fits where the seats were! Under the rear bench AFAIK is bare metal!
