After yesterday's fun and games at Bedford Autodrome my brakes are now feeling less than adequate

Apart from RS29 front pads, braided lines and 5.1 fluid they are standard,

So, I need to renew all the discs and rear pads after inspection earlier they are shot basically.

I plan to do around 6 track days this year and 2 or 3 trips to the ring.

So, I'm looking for what people have or are using please, any feedback good or bad is welcome to help me decide what to get.

A big brake upgrades is also not out of the question if I feel it's worth me doing.

    thanks in advance

RS29s are decent, I ran mine at Spa and the Ring amongst other trackdays and liked them. I'd be upgrading the rears though, something like a RC5+ or similar, even RS29s as the will last centuries on the rear.

Big brake upgrade is not required, ever. Run decent pads and you will have more than enough stopping power if your on proper r tyres.

Thanks for the reply, so standard grooved discs and pads with upgraded rear pads, it doesn't sound that expensive either lol.

R888 currently on for the track Pilot Sports on my road wheels.

RPD seem very good on price for discs, any recommendations for where to buy pads from ?

They seem to be the cheapest these days, discs are a fair bit cheaper than they used to be which is handy

  5. Mine has the Performance friction 2 piece kit on it with PF pads. Weigh about 2.5kg less than the std discs (each). Did a day at Castle Coombe with no problems ( did grumble to start with, but as the day went on , they seemed to prefer the ` last of the late brakers approach`). Will be at the `ring ` to give them a try in May. Probably do Castle Coombe before with my new track wheels & tyres, so see how they fare with a different set up.
