Drivers window R26

  1. Soo today, during the snow and rain me & steveball took a look at what i thought would be my window regulator knackered.

The window has always played up, either getting stuck in one position or refusing to open/close but then after a day or two it would work again.

So my drivers side window got stuck about 3" from the top and wouldn't go anywhere.

    So we

    - removed door card and window regulator and motor, stripped and cleaned the contacts up & tested, didn't work.

    - swapped the switch over for another one, didn't work

    - checked fuses under glove compartment and non seem to of blown

    - checked as much wiring as we could and nothing out of the ordinary

    - swapped the whole assembly to the passenger side ( reg and motor ) and it worked spot on. While the motor/regulator was off, wound the window up so atleast its up for now.

So everything works as it should of the passenger side ( both regulators and motors ) but not on the drivers side.

Presuming there is a relay for the drivers window somewhere? If so any idea which one it is.

    Any other suggestions?

    Cheers. Lee

  3. Cheers for the information could come in handy

  4. Still no luck

  5. renault change the loom as well if the regs have failed, could have had water get into yours? its such a shit design, i've done both of my regs now and put a latex glove over it, sealed both ends, its held up so far.

  6. It looks more like the BCU because the regs/motors work on the passenger side but not drivers, you can operate the passenger window from the drivers side also. But nothing to do with drivers window works :/

  7. Changed my loom today, and all is working again, the multiplug was corroded. [IMG]
