Birthday wheels

  1. I'll try and make the story short .

I bought my Megane rs about 3 months ago and the tyres don't hold the air at all. I can't See nails in them and the tyres look worn anyway. I've fillied them a few times with air. Last time one went down to 17 psi after a few weeks.

any way my wife has said she'll bye me a new of alloys with tyres for my birthday but I can't decide which type.

i think the original look the best but it's hard to find anything that look good and I don't want to buy second hand.

    any recommendations?

should I see about getting them refurbed. Though there's no chips or dents on the current set. They look brand new.

  2. Why don't you just get the nails plugged? I had 2 in one of mine and local place sorted for a tenner

  3. Sorry I read you could see nails in them, my bad!

  4. Yeah it's ok, if it's the tyres that are just old and loosing air or there's a few nails in them then that's easy to sort.

but if there's a crack or two or something else then I'd end up getting new wheels, so this thread is 'what wheels look best on the mk2 Megane rs'

ive had a good look for the past week and I think cant see anything as good as the original

  5. Team dynamics always look good, pro race 1.2's

  6. Here was a set of compomotive mo 6 for sale, in correct size. I would choose this if i had the chance

  7. Could be a worn out TPMS seal that caused the leak..

  8. Tpms?.

  9. Tyre Pressure Monitoring system.

  10. Is that in the tyre? I thought it was a sensor that measured the rolling radius of the wheel

  11. What!?
    It's in the valve.

  12. I had the same, just got new valves for about £25 and that sorted it!

  13. Oh ok, sure it was different in my Mazda mps

  14. Just pump them fully up and put a load of soapy water over the wheels. Any Air leaking will makes bubbles so your atleast see whether its the alloys or tyres.

  15. Cheers poppin

  16. Some manufacturers use the rolling radius of the wheel speed sensors.
