250 Headlight alignment

  1. Hey all,

Just fitted me some new headlights with the black reflectors (which look ace by the way!) and I don't think they are aligned properly. So my question is, does the adjustment get done via the 8mm hex screw just under the mounting point by the connector, or is there another way?

    Thanks,

    Nath.

  2. Yes, I fitted the same headlights you mentioned, and I had to adjust them afterwords, the 8mm hex that sits vertical is the one to adjust, you can use a wall / cardboard to set up the level or just take to a local garage who will measure the headlamp beam for you

  3. Vertical? I've been fiddling with the wrong one then! This one lies horizontal, pointing towards the back of the car, just by the electrical connector.

I'll dig out the old headlights tonight and examine them more closely.

  4. The horizontal one is to move the bulb left / right, vertical is up or down, hope that helps

  5. Certainly does! I think I'll just let my local garage do it, seeing as I've inadvertently been pissing about with the lateral adjuster!
