Best Rim Coating?

  1. I currently use AG wheel sealer which is easy to use -spray on but it doesn't last long and can leave residue.

I'm looking at something more durable and long term and have narrowed it down to Gtechniq C5 wheel armour and Gyeon Q2 Rims. Been impressed with all other products from these guys. Can any one recommend which is the better one - ease of application, durability, ability to resist brake dust etc....

  2. both of those are really good, i've got C5 on both sets of wheels, really easy to clean even after a trackday

  3. Carbon collectives platinum wheels is better then c5... Give it a try

  4. Chapstick!

  5. I'd be interested in trying the carbon collectives stuff, it must be good if its better than C5

Intrigued by this comment mate, always thought it was rebranded gtechniq.

  7. C5 is just c1 so what ever is cheaper

  8. im not sure about the re branded issue. I've tried both and c5 was good but up against ds2500/ds1.11 it was a nightmare to shift the dust sometimes as with ccpw it wash much easier to remove.

both applied by the book. I'm no expert but always try the best things and to me it's better despite having a crap experience with cc I won't use there stuff again

    cheers

Thanks mate, interesting to hear some I know on the rebranded stuff but always take user experience over marketing blurb.

  10. Thanks for the input chaps m I'll avoid the gyeon and shop round for the c5 or ccpw
