  1. Well now that Christmas is over and a new year has begun, what's your plans for 2016.

Mine are to get my 225 Trophy finished, as it's going through a small restoration at present, do a few summer car shows in it and being a newbie Renault Sport owner I haven't got a clue what those are, then go on my annual Ibiza madness holiday in July/August as I've been going every year since 2005.

Possibly buy a cheap little Renault Sport Twingo as a run around and get to work n back and keep the Trophy as a summer toy with it being rare.

  2. I'm thinking of selling mine in the summer for a dirty diesel volvo ha.

  3. A trip to RS Tuning

    Yes! Join the crew.

  5. Track day on the 16th, visit to Mark Black for service MOT and a few issues sorted. Couple more track days. Done
Nurburgring trip in July in the Audi, Ibiza in August with the family.
Upgraded injectors for the Audi to make over 500bhp
a few Audi and Renault car meetings and shows too. AITP for sure always a gooden

  6. First on the list is new tyres, need to figure out which to go for first!
More track days are next up, with getting tuition as a priority.
Belts need doing later in the year and I've got some cosmetic work to do too: sort out a couple of dinks in the bodywork, alloys need refurbed and possibly do the calipers too. Not sure what to do with my alloys, had been thinking gloss black but tempted to go for something a little different.

  7. Belts and full service at engine dynamics ( top blokes the two Andy's ) paint both bumpers and blend, refurb the wheels and paint them along with the R spoiler, door bullets and mirror cases honda satin grey.
Replace the hoses as there looking tired now and no doubt the SH bearings at some point too, sure there will be more along the way...

  8. Fit some fresh rubber when the weather gets better, couple track days at knockhill and hopefully get a chance to do the west coast 500 at some point. Going to wax it to death and touch up a couple of stone chips too. Not planning spending any money on performance parts just maintenance.

  9. Thinking of selling and buying something new

  10. Plated Diff, rewire for now on race car and some potenza re002's as New class this year going for the win!
Also build the spare engine.. going for high 300-400bhp

  11. Sell the Meg and Golf, and replace with a Golf GTD

Urgh really? They're common as muck, I don't think I've not come across a GTD yet where the driver doesn't think he's driving a Buggati.

  13. Doing high mileage is has its downfall - I used to use the Meg but putting 30k in a year on it wasn't good for the resale.

  14. I'm wondering whether to stick with it and invest or sell and probably have cheaper but duller driving

  15. Using the 230 on track days and making small improvements to notice on said track days - injectors, IC, remap and decat and a most. Nothing more.... he says

  16. Just ordered firmer rear springs - currently on 7Kg and 4Kg - the softer rear's lead the car to 'squat' a little on the exits of corners tending it towards understeer.

Will maybe take some more weight out of the car, AC, rear windows, bonnet if I can get a cheap one fairly local.

Other than that, it'll be further tweaks in the suspension set-up, track tuition and loads of trackdays hopefully
