  1. Like it says:
Scorpion cat back, panel filter, inter cooler, remap = 310hp

  2. Engine: turbo back exhaust, intercooler, forge dv, pipercross cone filter, map 312 bhp 353lbs torque

Chassis: Kw Clubsports, e46 m3 droplinks, 2 piece godspeed discs

Wheels: road wheels 18x7.5 et42 Enkei NT03rr Michelin pilot superports, Track wheels TD 1.2 18x8 et45 Dunlop direzza dz03g

  3. Midbox chop, remap- 305bhp 342lbs torque

  4. Engine: Milltek cat back, Itg Induction Kit, forge dv, map = 315.9hp and 360lbft
    Chassis: H&R Lowering Springs

  5. Engine: Milltek resonated cat-back, Airtec FMIC, BMC panel filter, remap. 321hp, 359lbft

  6. I notice that some of these bhp gains are done on 250's, I'm guessing that there hasn't been any issues with the known weakness of the gearbox mounts (think I've got that right), there must be more stress involved, so has anybody uprated the mounts or has it not been a problem? It's been the main reason why I've not remapped.

  7. BMC Filter
    Airtek IC
    RS Tuning Remap

    304bhp

  8. Strong power, who mapped it

I take it an upgraded Exhaust on a 250 is a waste of time cause the standard exhaust is wide enough to flow 350 bhp? only a decat is needed for more power ? And a back box chop for more sound?

  10. Engine: RS tuning decat & remap, Milltek non res catback, Pro Alloy intercooler, Piper x cone filter & Forge dv. 319 bhp & 363lbft

Chassis: KW Clubsports, PFC 2 piece front discs 348mm o/d & Vibratechnics g/box mount

Weight saving: Rear seats removed & rear wiper

  11. Turbo back supersprint race system, heat wrapped, Ktec induction kit.

    Bilstein B14 coilovers.

Had a power run done when it just had a panel filter and it made 295bhp 305ibft.

  12. this guy/company: http://wdtuning.dk/

probably not that relevant for you, however, since it's in Denmark ;-)

  13. 295bhp from an exhaust and filter?!

  14. That was with just a panel filter. Also it was on the same rollers at the same place that noshadow and Jamie had their meganes mapped so the rollers are pretty accurate.

  15. Remap only gave 295bhp and 325lbft

  16. Ah, no mention of the remap which confused me!

  17. Mine isn't mapped if that's what you're meaning? It pulled 295 with just a panel filter.

  18. Jesus mike - yours isn't mapped?!??! and that AMG couldn't pull away with a DSG.....:cool::cool:

  19. No it's not mapped she's a good un haha. I'll post the graph up I'll need to dig it out.

  20. Okay, I have to be the bad guy in this thread because these kind of threads tend to run out of hand. What is the point of trying to get into the discussion that leads to comparison of power figures, especially those supposedly at the crankshaft from all kinds of different dynos? All kinds of wonky calculations, decelerations, tricks (yes, I have even seen dyno runners changing the inertia figures on electrical braked dynos to pump up power) and what have you to come up with some good looking power figures.

Now, if we start comparing power figures measured at the wheel, the bias gets fractionally smaller, but still its not comparable between dynos. One uses a steady-state dyno, other use accelerating dynos, others use electrical brake dynos, and others use dynos with huge rollers that function through inertia.

Also @mike265cup, 295bhp sounds mighty impressive unmapped, but without others having dynoed at the same rollers, and readouts of boost-pressures, ignition timing and fueling, the number is meaningless. If there is indeed no increase in boost pressure especially from stock mapping (stock mappings don't magically go above its programmed pressure), then you indeed have a mighty engine.

What I do want to contribute is a double dyno-run on the same day and same rollers I did with a friend of mine a few months ago that does make comparison possible to some extent. I have a 250RS with stock stage 1 cal from Henk (Fastchip), K-Tec IC, Injen alu intake (short-ram), and RS-R 3" cat-back, while the other has a 250RS with custom mapping from Henk on a roller, 3" K-tec decat, 3" K-tec cat-back. He ended up making slightly more power at the dyno (+- 268hp @ the wheels vs. my 264hp @ the wheels, which is supposedly somewhere in the 300-310hp alley, again, fake numbers). Looking back at boost pressure and ignition timing readouts, I found that his boost pressure was roughly 0.05bar higher than mine and slightly more advanced timing (+2°), because it was mapped that way. My car can easily reach same boost with proper mapping, as the wastegate duty cycle is no where near its maximum to get to the desired mapped boost pressure. What it does show is that a decat isn't doing that much and that it all comes down to mapping (same for an intercooler really, I only did it for the looks, not the performance gains, which is none on street usage).

Anyways, just my 2 cents on the thread thus far.

  21. That's some good input that we all understand and I'm not really fussed about who has what power made where because it's just a figure and not a competition. 2 others on this forum have had their meganes on the same rollers at the same company and have made the 'usual' Megane figures with a map so I'm pretty sure the readings can't be that far off. Like I said it doesn't really matter we're all just sharing our experiences.

  22. maybe that is true for max power (which, I admit, is what we're posting here), but I'd still argue that a decat can have significant low-rpm impact..

  23. The point of my original post was not a 'willy waving' competition (and of course I'm aware it not quite comparing apples with apples considering all the different rolling roads used to measure etc,) but just so that I could see what gains were bring had with what mods. It seems that induction mods + exhaust mods + remap will give you up to 310 ish
I was kind of hoping to get some post from people who had gone that extra bit and done a hybrid and updated injectors to get an idea what they were getting with standard internals.
As regards the point about a bigger intercooler and a decat........overall they might be said to give you no extra horses, but any mapper worth his salt will recommend a remap to 'blend them in' ie the power curve and delivery is affected by their fitting .....that's as I understand it anyway

Hybrid/Injectors will see you anywhere from 350-370 depending on your car, Supporting mods and the map. Seems the general consensus for the stock internals in 380/380, Im planning on having a full boost map and one running lower boost for wet/road use.

  25. I'm very aware that different rollers give different results even though a lot of members here have had it done at RS Tuning so you are right to point out that it shouldn't be a 'willy waving' contest.
The reason I like this thread is because I'm very intrigued to find out what other combos people have and and especially to try and figure out if it would actually be worth me going down the road of adding a bigger intercooler and decat if by the sounds of it I would only get another 5-8 bph maybe. The car would clearly benefit from them both, especially the larger intercooler but for the amount of money they would both cost plus another re-map, in not sure if I would be better just spending the money on better brake pads and lines instead.

I'd love to hear from more people that have gone down the hybrid/injectors route.

Intercoolers don't give power, Just keep IATs at a much reasonable temperature. Mine would hit 40/45+ degrees on the road with the stock cooler, Now they rarely go above 20 and it keeps the power much, much more consistent. A must for anyone who is running a mapped car on track IMO.

Decat doesnt really add much in terms of peak power, All about freeing up the midrange and loosing the most restrictive part of the exhaust.

  27. I'll throw my 250 into the mix for comment.. Spec as follows,

nitron r1 coilovers (2.5 deg neg camber on front)
adjustable anti roll bars front and rear
    front strut brace
pfc 348mm bigger front discs and pads (ds2500 rears)
    braided hoses all round
18 evo corsa wheels with correct offset (no need for spacers)
    michelin cup2's all round
    CAE short shift
Full ktec exhaust incl. sports cat
    ktec intercooler
    ktec induction kit
    hybrid turbo
    full cage (rear seats removed)
cobra Suzuka fixed back bucket seats mounted on lowered sub frames
    Sabelt 6 point harnesses

As for power output not sure around 340ish but the car needs suspension geo and corner weighting then going to get on rolling road.

Anyone think it needs anything else ... Lol

Nice spec, That the one Ktec had for sale at the end of last year?

  29. Bit different but 250 engine in a Clio, 317bhp/340 torques. Hybrid fitted and just waiting for another RST map.

  30. Nice! Do you have any pictures?

  31. Thanks yes it's the car ktec had for sale and no don't have any half decent pictures yet as ever since I bought it it's been raining!! Will post some up when I get chance.

Where do you get the poly windows from papps?

  33. Air freshener?

  34. Is it a white one ?

  35. Yes it's a white car originally a 250ff with cup pack, I have thought about poly windows but will wait to get it set up properly. Not sure about deleting air con... Just yet...

As for air fresheners there just to heavy!!! Lol

  36. Had a look at it when i was having my coilovers fitted. Nice.

  37. Looking forward to getting terrified in that CarlYou coming to Silverstone? Car looks the nuts by the way

  38. Let me know when and I'll see what I can do, I need to destroy a few more tyres and burn more fuel getting used to the car?

Scream if you want to go faster!! Lol
