Hi guys, took my car for a remap today and just wanted to double check something with any of you that have experience with this sort of thing. I was very happy with the power runs before the map, it made 234bhp with just a cat back, car behaved absolutely fine on the dyno for this first power run, they then mapped it and carried out further power runs, it got to 247bhp before the esp and tcs cut in.... Is there any way of stopping this from happening on the r26? They said they had turned esp off via the button on the dash but could it still cut in? Main reason I want to know is that the car doesn't feel as powerful as the company claimed they could get and I'd like to go back to them for an accurate power run to see what it's making.... The early Ph1 225's had a feature that you couldn't turn off the TC above 30mph, not with the R26 though, once its off, its fully off. Any idea what map they put on? take it it was just a flash file? I'd be tempted to get them to take it off and get my money back. Sorry to hear this mate.

Cheers mate yea it's just a flash file type map, it's pulling nicely but they state that map gives 279bhp and I'd expect to be able to tell its that powerful afterwards haha!! It does feel quicker but.... Without the printout saying so I'm not so sure....
I'm sorry to tell you that you've wasted your money. These cars don't like generic maps at all, I'd put money on it not running correctly.
