Anyone fitted one or know of anyone that's fitted one? My mate has fitted one to his focus st and another mates vxr I think they look quite smart, just wanted to know if they're easy to fit or not? Thanks
I have a Greddy one fitted. The only problem i had was finding a hole to put the vacuum pipe thru.I put a hole thru the bulk head behind were the airbox used to sit.
I got an Auto electrics place to wire it in as i havent got a clue. They wired it in by taking the end panel off the drivers side dash & dropping the small panel with the sport button on. I tee`d into the pipe from the recirc valve to the next inline `t` piece. If i remember correctly, the pipe that this `t` joins to is a solid plastic pipe.
I've got one on my passengers pillar, don't really look at it! Some people really like it though, down to taste I guess!
There are two types to consider. A traditional gauge which the needle is operated by air pressure. Or you plumb in a sender unit which controlls the needle with a little servo type motor. You can here these working if you buy a cheepy. The first type are a little old fashioned now but still work great and are simpler (in my opinion) to install because the only wiring is for back light
As they said two types, mechanic(air pressure) or electric signal, more accurency on the mechanic but electric are more fancy and expensive. Consider Prosport i got the halo series
