Best and cheapest place for an R26.R clutch please

  1. As above, just the clutch required, cheers

  2. Mark Black all day long

  3. What's the average mileage for a clutch to last on a R26 and R ? Normal driving etc

  4. I've just had my R26 clutch replaced after 51k miles. It has been mapped almost all of that, it wasn't slipping but had gone a bit stiff at the bottom. Good job I had it changed anyway as the slave cylinder was leaking.

Mark Black fitted me a .R clutch and solid flywheel, he showed me the difference and the wear plates on the .R are a lot thicker. I think he charges £750 for the .R clutch and flywheel fitted, I had mine done with a load of other stuff so not sure exactly.

  5. I 2nd that all day long

  6. Supply only for the clutch

  7. Cool I will get a upgraded one from Mark in the new year. I was told my R26 had a clutch replaced when I bought it but after driving 16k miles since I've owned it its starting to slip !

  9. Try Renault Wolverhampton

  10. That's cheap! I paid £950 from rentech in Portsmouth for the standard r26 clutch

  11. I think Mark does the standard for around £650 (don't quote me but I think that's what he said!). I didn't see the point though when the .R was only 100 or so more.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Isn't the R clutch the same as the 1.9d?

  13. Is it cheaper if you buy a 1.9 D clutch then surely if it's the same it will carry the same part number making it the same price ?

  14. Well I know for a fact I'll be going up there if the clutch goes again.

Dunno. Just heard a lot of people including Fred BTM say it's the same unit.

  16. It is the same clutch but it is under a different part number. Seems to be a good bit cheaper than the official r26r part. Andybond is the guy to ask for the part number, or perhaps papps as I think he fitted this clutch to his car recently
