grubby seat belts

  1. As the title says. God knows what the prev owner did with them.

What can i use to clean them? Or would it be easier to get new ones? I have the stone coloured ones in my 225. Cant seem to find new ones for sale anywhere.

  2. Unbolt the bottom rail and slip the belt off it. Pull all the belt out and use a peg to hold it out, then you can dunk the whole thing in a bucket of hot soapy water - I used some handwash powder we had at home.

Scrub it with nail brush, and use a microfibre to wipe off excess soap. Refill your bucket with clean water and give it all a good rinse. Towel off the excess water then drape the belt round the sun visor and put the heater on full for 20 mins or leave for a couple of hours to dry naturally, then you can re attach the bottom rail and you're done.

  3. Yeah I tend to use some all purpose cleaner and a brush and aspirin in a bucket of hot water

Job for the summer really to get them dry

  4. Cleaned my orange seatbelts by pulling them fully outside the car then closing the door to lock them outside. Just a simple jetwash then let them dry outside the car happy days

  5. yep - i did the same, brought them up a treat

Fully extend the seatbelt out of the door, shut said door, get a mate to hold them taut and jet wash them. Obviously leave plenty of time to dry.

    EDIT: as above
