Clutch Slave Cylinder

  1. Hi all,
So a warning about Valeo CSCs.....very weak, dont use them with an uprated clutch. ...mine lasted under 2k. Secondly what is the best CSC you can get? As far as i know there us no heavy duty one.? Ive ordered a Luk one which is apparently a little more substantial than tbe valeo.

  2. think luk do one with a metal pipe as opposed to the plastic valeo one. Im guessing with the uprated clutch its pushed the bleeder pipe off the slave?

  3. Mine did exactly the same, less than 2000 miles, right pain in the arse.

  4. What clutch you running?

Which is OEM? The LUK or the Valeo?

  6. Valeo iirc

  7. I've got smf and r26r clutch, Mark Black put a new Valeo slave in it last week, see how long this one lasts, it let go on the Brands GP circuit.

  8. Helix 5 paddle. The Luk one was recommended by paul at Rst when i rocked up with the valeo. Surely somebody must make a HD one. Labour cost to replace is ridiculous.

  9. How much labour did Mark charge mate?

  10. A lot less than anywhere else, don't really like posting peoples costs. 2 1/2 drive each way but still well worth it, fella is a genius with all things Renault, wouldn't take mine anywhere else now. would have loved to have fitted an uprated slave at the time, but doesn't seem to be anything about. Fingers crossed this one lasts.

  11. A lot of valio stuff is made by luk now and vice versa, I've fitted clutch kits from an luk box and have valio stamped all over it. Think it's prob just luck of the draw.

  12. Just a quick update on this, the Luk slave has the pedal feeling much better than before not so heavy so as long as it lasts I'll be happy.

  13. I have the Luk slave fitted to mine, with the r26r clutch and smf, Mark black fitted mine too. He was the one who recommended getting the Luk slave too as the pipes are different to the valeo one as already mentioned.
The pedal feel is great, as you say not as heavy. Paul at rstuning commented on the feel of mine when I went there in August for a map check, and said it felt similar to one with the clutch and dmf. He questioned me having a r26r clutch and smf setup at first even though I got the r26r flywheel from him lol
But since I had mine fitted in March last year I've done 4 trackdays and it's been fine.
