Rear Fog Light Fuse Location

  1. Hi all, no suprise for a question like this after the last 2 days lol
The fog light dash symbol comes on my car when i switch the fogs on but then flashes and goes out, the lights do not come on even for a second. I was going to replace the fuse first however I cant find the location even after reading through all manuals? Pretty sure I have every manual as well

    Can anyone help? Cheers

  3. That seems absolutley ridiculous why would they put a fog light option on the stalk, its only a rear fog light option and I'm 99% sure I have fog lights

  4. My bad I misread the post. I thought for some reason it said front. It has 2 rear fog lights one at each side of the lower half of the bumper. Could be a dodgy connection on the bulb or corroded holder, they get covered in shit off the rear wheels.

  5. I always wash them out so unless they are tripping I'm guessing a fuse has blown, unless its on the same fuse as the brake lights?

    You wash you foglights out?

Check the fuses in the engine bay, Bit of a pain to get to them all mind you as you need to unplug everything to get it out. Theres no mention of them in the book as they seem to think its a dealer only thing

  7. Well yea I do sponge them out in the recess I'm very OCD when it comes to cleaning lol, hopefully theres no water in there, might make sense that the dash light comes on and then goes off.. hmm

I had the engine bay fuses out expecting a diagram on the plastics or something, I didnt unplug anything though but nothing was labeled. Does that box open up?

  8. Defiently no fuse diagram on the plastics in the engine bay.. what a joke that Renault do not have this in the manual

Does anybody know?? Even what size? So i can check all fuses of a certain amp

  9. Just check them all. Won't take long to pull them out and put them back in.

  10. Well Ive spoken to Renault and Ive been told there is no fuse for the fog lights, I'll check for water damage and otherwise Ill leave it

  11. Rear fogs are easy access from under car, holder and bulb are right angle fitting immediately below the lens and are quarter turn and pull down to remove bulb and holder for inspection clean and replace.

  12. Thanks Bobsan. Wow didnt know it was that easy. No wonder they are getting water damaged the way they are so accessible, drive over one puddle and they are covered in water, could also have been me with the karcher causing the damage though I suppose.

Lamps and holders are both really corroded and wet so I have left the holders over the radiator and will buy new lamps

  13. All sorted. Some TLC on the lamp holders and bought new lamps, all working now

  14. What a mess, tried cleaning them but my lamp holders have now gone again and Renault want either £30 for the whole fog light or just the holder, not quite sure what.. I can't see a break in the metal within the lamp holder and it seems to test well for continuity but both lamps are good and both lots of wiring are good so it has to be the lamp holder... Cant seem to source a cheaper one online

  15. How do you go about removing the fog lamp is it a bumper off job?
