250 Ball Joints...again :)

  1. Hey all,

As I'm sure most have, I've been looking for info on the dreaded lower ball joint. I've found the Polish eBay guy but heard that R-Sport in Wimbledon do them. Then I just found out they are no more? :worried:

Is there anywhere else that does them/fits them? I've seen Aarons Autos and sent a couple of messages to Mark at MRS/Bolsover Car Car, but not had a response as yet.

    Ta!

    N.

  2. I believe mine are on there way out so this would help

I got mine from the Polish seller as both Aarons Autos and MRS are way to far to travel, SWR changed mine for me last year.

    The former both do them

Thats them, Just be careful though as it may be the upper ones as well.

I had all 4 of mine changed

  5. Hmmmm, if he combined postage I'd be inclined to order the lot and have them all done too. Can't see the labor being much more whilst they were at it.

  6. Worrying that mine are shot after 19k though! Previous owner must have been an animal, as I've only done 1.5k in the car so far.

  7. Aarons Autos sorted me out for supplying and fitting my lower ball joint. Great bunch of guys. They even dropped me down to the shopping centre while i waited

    Couldn't recommend them enough!

  8. That's good to know. They are definitely on my list, but would prefer a local place to avoid a couple of hundred miles if I can get the same guarantee Aarons give.

  9. I'd try giving mark black a phonecall rather than pm'ing him fella, top man and will sort you out

  10. How's best way to tell they need doing? Mine does feel like there's a bit of play somewhere

  11. I would say jack it up and check for play.

  12. Creaking or knocking noise when turning at slow speed. Uneven wear on the front tyres (mine wore on the inside). I also found that it pulled off to the side under hard acceleration.

  13. Wht happened with R.Sport in Wimbledon?
They ordered a sensor in for me and said they are closing for a few weeks for refurbishment so I decided to get it done after.. but they seem to have closed down lol

  14. Yes, R-Sport have now closed their workshop, carrying on supplying motorsport parts only.

Top Mechanic just in the process of setting himself up as an independent specialist, see my post in dealer and specialist section on here.
