Dont know if anyone else has experienced this, but i have noticed on full lock a metallic clicking coming from the passenger front hub area. Would this be an issue with the c.v joint or the other swivel joints in the hub? I am running Kw Clubsports, which is a reasonable amount lower than standard. Not had a chance to have a look yet, just putting out a feeler as to what & where to look?
Yes...I also get slight knock on braking but everything has been checked and all good. I think my lower hub joint has play
I get a clunking from the brakes, but I think it's the 2 piece brake design when you brake from forward to reverse.
MY 250 cup skips on full lock at low speed and is worse when its a bit wet or icy. Its something to do with the diff apparently.
It's also that it probably doesn't maintain a true ackerman geometry on full lock, one wheels trying to plow an entirely different radius turn than the other.
I took a look & i cant find any issues, tried the same full lock manoeuvre & no clicking. I have raised the ride height about 5mm. The only thing is i think that it could be, is that with the car alot lower the tolerances are out in the c.v. joint( position & angle) causing the noise. Also noticed that the shit design on the Clubsports where there is a grub screw that locks the collar in place, metal screw & plastic collar will only end in stripping the threads out on the collar!!!
Tbh Im not over the moon with the design I mean camber adjustment means dropping the arms each time but I can't fault there performance
Likewise. Also to replace the collar its all got to come out! Might try & find another way of fixing it.
