  1. Hi all
Is it a 12mm allen key to take calipers off

Also the disc retaining screws rounded off so going to dril them are they important to put back in
    Thanks phil

  2. yea 12mm Allen key / Hex to remove

Ideally you want to refit some retaining screws yes .. after you have drilled them out you want to remove the old bolt and fit new ones . I've fitted Allen key headed bolts to mine as much more resistant to stripping compared to the Torx . Also put copper grease on them and they only need to be nipped up , don't do them tight

  3. Cheers john can you remember what size bolts you used

  4. Pretty sure they are M6

  5. Cheers john
Only problem now is nowhere in the world sell 12mm allen keys
Can only get them online cant believe halfords dont sell them

  6. Try somewhere like tool station

  7. 12mm oil drain plug worked a treat

Stupid retaining screws though had to be drilled out

  8. Both times I've done discs they've been an absolute pig to get out.

A combination of a bit of heat and a few good smacks around the face of the inner disc with a 2lb lump AND a bit of a soak with some WD40 got them off last time..... just.
