  1. Tried one today, didn't seem to fit well of comfy on me mate, nice though

  2. Credit card, never owned on in my life and never will

  3. Fair one mate.

Think they have their place, for insurance on goods when abroad or over the Internet etc you can't go wrong.

  4. Agree credit cards are full of win when used appropriately. In the wrong hands they are a dangerous tool that can quickly land you in hot water.

  5. Defiantly, my mrs uses hers to book holidays and to buy anything expensive for the insurance side of things, I just give her the cash

  6. I love these watches. Be it coin bezel, scallop bezel, jubilee bracelets, broad arrow hands....Omega do it so well and have inspired a lot of competitor watches!

  7. Gold smiths should have mine in for when I get back off holiday , seamaster black ceramic

  8. Picked up this from the Oakley shop the other day.
should have been £425 but got it for £85, nice every day watch

In the lowish end price bracket you can't go far wrong by buying JDM Seiko, Citizen or Casio. I bought a Seiko driver from these guys a few years back:

..unbelievably it arrived on my door step 3 days later. I gave it to my brother a few months later as a present, he has since had it serviced via Seiko UK for 40 quid despite it being a JDM only model that I bought at the time. The one I got was this one:

Cost was about £200 and I believe they have become quite collectable amongst those that are into the Japanese watches, as time moves on they drop the old models bring in new ones and due to the rarity even fairly cheap watches become collectable (never seen this effect on cheap european brands though).

  10. Love my watches as well. Always had a g shock or an Oakley. Tried to get an Oakley 12 gauge but no joy. So went for the new premium G shock as my daily. Absolutely love this thing. Although most would scoff at the price for a Casio.

Purchased from Watchfinder, who were excellent, they also offer interest free credit on all watches over 6 or 12 months.

  14. Very nice. Always liked the carrera.

  15. Very nice. I'm sorely tempted to buy a Deville. Must not spend though....

  16. I've got and love my omega seamaster, wish had of bought a rail master a few years ago though, can't get them now

  17. I had a similar budget for my first 'proper' watch so went for a Tissot PRC200 and love it (picture below is of an older model but basically the same) Wear it everyday, then have a G-shock Rangeman that I wear on weekends if i'm out on the kayak or mountain bike!

For similar money Christopher Ward look great and have good write ups too

  18. Really like this, considering one on finance

  19. A by bulova on finance? They're only a few hundred quid aren't they?

  20. Yes they are, but still loadas of money for me

  21. Be better to put the money aside bit by bit mate. Finance can be a dangerous thing on something that's not worth anything once purchased. If it were a Rolex omega etc finance is pretty safe as its not far off rrp on the second hand market. But a bulova will drop like a stone.

  22. I see the logic mate, will think about it
