  2. So it's not the cam belt side have this noise, but between the gearbox and the engine, where is the dmf can you hear, the flywheel was changed 2 weeks ago, and then before changed the old flywheel was these noise.

    somebody have this noise?

    thanks.

  3. Sounds just like a rattly tensioner/pulley

  4. MBC

    MBC

Either that or metal filings in the crank perhaps? Does it scrape on start up with the metalic sound?

  5. The dmf is the flywheel. Have ya had dmf delete?

  6. Yes DMF the flywheel what we changed 2 weeks ago a new Luk flywheel, we saw the crank but everything ok. When I stared the Megane the engine sound perfect when cold,no noise, rattly etc...when the engine warm up and the idle lower at 800-900 rpm can You hear(as the video) this noise. I push It a little upper 1000-1200 rpm and the noise disappear. NO somke, the engine not weak. Very strange... :worried: but these noise I heard before We change the DMF. I would exclude the wrong DMF.Maybe Crankshaft bearings? O

  7. Hi Stephen. Did you find the cause of the noise as think I have the same problem now. Thanks in advance.

  8. Could be a slightly worn dephaser

  9. Dephaser

Pretty much the symptoms your noting, silent when cold, the noise will disappear above 1800 rpm
