What have you done to your Car today?

Used the RS Tuner to change the ESP cut in limit to 50mph (pees me off when switched off and then resets itself at just over 30mph) and adjusted steering strategy - will see what the difference is tomorrow if any re: the steering )

 

What's next

 

I managed to get both cars in 1 place & both clean. Shame about the quality of the pics. I also replaced the driveshafts on the meg.

Went to pick wheels up but not ready till tomorrow

 

So fitted the front strut bar

 

All been acid dipped inc the 1.2s for the Clio ready for powder coating, get them fitted then leave the other set their to be done the same.

 

No idea what the centre caps are off by the way, stuff all over the place

 

I've put some heko wind deflectors on today , Not sure yet whether I like them or not

 

Took a while to grow on me mate... quite like them now...

 

Mine came with wind deflectors, love em.

Total wheel works in Nottingham did them , acid dipped, blasted, powder coated, don't ask what I paid to have 12 wheels done, he's a good mate of mine.

Yes mate caps are always black, correct with the tyres, just want to keep the Clio cheap so £39 each for tyres, yes parada spec 2s, no idea what they will be like but I'm sure they will be ok mate

 

I had some paint mixed up agaves ago which my mate had matched with powder coat, I think it's caspian red but someone will tell you code mate

 

I've had the specs 2's before on my s3 and they'r good in the dry but scary in the wet, can't complain at £39 each tho

Removed all the wheels and gave them a deep clean, polished and sealed them ready for the winter. Almost 2 years running CL pads and never been cleaned inside, bit of elbow grease and they're good as new

What sealant did you use on them?

 

Cheers mate, I use the poor boys wheel sealant stuff (pink, in a tub) I like it, easy to apply and remove and lasts a decent time.

 

Had it serviced after 6 months ownership and 12,000miles ! A few issues found play in the ball joint etc (hub) Slight leak on the cam cover, slight play track rod end ! Clip for a cv boot needed replacing new back tyres.
I hope this isnt the norm ? Every service something needing repairs etc ! I was warned about the Renault build quality etc BUT and a big BUT ! So much cheaper on repairs then the Audi RS4

 

Fitted the cupra splitter.

 

Took it out of the garage. Washed and dried it. Put it back in the garage.

It's hibernating.

 

Got the shit evergreen tyres off my 250 and fitted some michelins much better now

 

Stared at it sitting in the driveway for a bit contemplating whether or not to take it out. CBA so just cut the grass instead
