short shift or new box?

Whenever I'm driving a bit "progressively" I seem to keep missing 2nd or 3rd gear. Is this my poor driving, broken gear box or should I get a short shifter fitted? Normal driving I don't have any issues but the box doesn't feel great, although I had an ex who had a normal megane and her box felt pretty grim too.(so did her cars!)

  2. Short shift. I used to do the same miss gears sometimes with the normal shift until i got the short shift

Thanks for the reply. Engine dynamics best place to get one?

Another thing that makes a big difference to the gear change is the lower torque mount. Get a powerflex one on and you'll notice the difference straight away.

Just been looking on their site. Is this an engine mount of gearbox? Sorry, I'm retarded when it comes to cars.

this should be the one. its underneath your battery tray. not sure what an original Renault one costs but may be worth sticking with an original part.

  7. It's a mount insert to stiffen the existing mounts up, I've got one for the dogbone mount fitted all ready and its fine (black series so the stiffest you can get) and haven't noticed any bad vibrations.
The dogbone isn't the one pictured, the doggone is at the rear of the engine in the middle it stops the engine moving back and forward
