I have just finished watching Senna for the third or fourth time and it got me thinking... Who do you think is the greatest ever Formula 1 driver?
Do not get why people slag Vettel so much, he will go down As one of the greatest and most accomplished drivers of all time. He is clinical whereas Senna had flair.
Vettel is immense but he has the perfect machine to backup his talent. Would he do so well in the Marussia?! Even though I'm not his biggest fan I think Hamilton has to be considered above vettel. He seems to be able to extract the most from a car, even if techically its inferior to others.
this. Vettel has always had a car above the rest, this years car is crazy fast. There is also no doubt he is an excellent driver, but up there with the best? senna, fangio, prost? never. Another thing that bug's me is when he comes on the radio after winning going 'great race boys' - great race with who? you drove around in a circle for 70 laps and didnt see another car. I'd be bored, you are born a racing driver, racing people for the win. If you just drive around 10x quicker than the field it's boring for you and the fans - hence why he is always boo'd. As Hami put it, it's like the Schumi era, wake up with him on pole, fall asleep, wake up at the end of the race knowing he has won. Until there is such a time a driver like hami alonso raik e.t.c are put with him, in the same car and he is miles faster, he can fuck right off, wana snap that stupid little finger.
fangio was the f1 master.but as much as i hate to say it schumacher would be up there along with senna when it was racing and not a carnival
I've gone for Schumacher. Senna was brilliant, Prost was clinical, Schumacher was both. Vettel is good but simply has a far better car than everyone else and also has masses of luck. If it hadn't have been for Alonso being stuck behind another car for a whole race, then Vettel crashing in Brazil but not damaging his car he would still only have one world title. He's not even in the top 3 best drivers on the current grid. Alonso, Raikkonen and Hamilton are all better. If it wasn't for team f*ck ups Hamilton would have won at least 2 WC by now, and more than likely 3.
On the grid now... Alonso is the most reliable of them all... Raikkonen he's just a nutter and hamilton for all his talent... I just don't like his attitude... but he is a truly great driver though... they should do a race with all the current f1 drivers in the same car... like that Mercedes race when senna pissed all over the competition. ..
