Holy shit mate. Very lucky to walk away with just the injuries you had. Glad nobody was seriously hurt anyway and hope you make a speedy recovery. Goes to show whoever said French cars were poorly made should see this.
Thats a bit of a mess! Not the first MK3 RS I've seen in a big off, They hold up very, very well. Speedy recovery mate!
Replaced ball joints, fitted black powerflex front wishbone bushes. So the car is fully polybushed front and rear now. Upgraded the oil cooler to a 19 row too.
thought there could have been a problem.. Looked at tsl timing earlyer you've been further up the pack previously
Im sure their more than adequate for what im after my pads were knackered anyway. Im not tracking the car
Have yellowstuff changed there compound? I have some on my sunny, not good for track but ok for road use as long as I don't get them too hot, mine are 330mm 6 pots, never tried them on 4 pot brakes but never had issues with them
Was ok at the start but the damp on the surface made it like an ice rink. So so qualifying was slightly better but clutch was slipping into high rpm 5k+ so nursed it until the final managed 6 laps and as soon as boost kicked in at 1bar it was just spinning the clutch up. Engine will ill be coming out now and go some big decisions to make on it.
not good what clutch do you have? i know the feeling we support the British truck championship twice year.. You should try being on track in damp after all the diesel, tyres and oil they put down.. Even in dry you can loose half second due to the greasy-ness they put down mine will be out after last round oct 11th... Also gonna be designing and making some tubular wishbones and go solid heim and spherical joints this winter too if they work well be idea for your race car too and anyone else not really suitable for road though unless I make some with poly bushes too.. (Using the design for my degree dissertation project too so can design and make them with work and uni resources then haha)
Not sure what I've done to the car but I have a right old vibration when idling.. feels like a mount has gone
Went and saw @FredBTM yesterday, just to have a powerflex insert put into my lower engine mount, however upon removal of the mount-both bushes were split and had plenty of play. Fred sourced a replacement mount there and then, and it was with us in 45 mins, had it fitted and with the powerflex insert - the drive home was spot on!! Car feels tight and so will defo be uprating the other mounts with the powerflex inserts. On another note @FredBTM is the only person who has worked on my car in my 4+years ownership, his a top bloke and cannot fault him for any work iv had done, it was a shame seeing the garage been emptied, but I wish him the best of luck for his future plans!!!
Yeah, his off to Australia. Will be handing garage keys back on last day of Sept. However it's basically empty inside already
Not sure what's his got properly planned, probably work for a garage and settle down and then potentially set his own thing up-who knows, this is Fred. His Vee (Clio V6) is been shipped over- that's for sure!!
He will be surely missed in the renaultsport world for sure, I wish him all the best for the future, good luck to him and his family
Started the day getting my stereo completed by ASC Audio Then moved on a De-badge of M E G A N E and put on the black emblem covers.
Had mine on the ramps today, Welds have snapped clean off my Downpipe leaving me with two nice holes. PITA and a bit pissed off as it isn't the smallest jobs to remove and sort it
