  1. For Sale I have a 2008 08 R26 F1 230 RenaultSport Megane Coupe in Deep Black
    Car was bought totally standard ( 2 previous owners and renault pre register, I am the 3rd actual owner) in September 2014 on 62k.

    All modifications have been carried out professionally by Rentec Autocare in Edinburgh (Renaultsport specialists) unless expressly stated.
    All parts have been purchased brand new (bar passenger harness which was unused and verified by Sabelt as 100% genuine with proof, seat mounts were used)
    FSH, 87k currently; Cambelt and Waterpump at 62k by Rentec in Edinburgh.
    Serviced meticulously by Rentec Autocare, with numerous stamps and countless receipts with very frequent oil changes.

    MOT till July 2017, Next service not due for 8,000 miles. Common wear and tear such as (Hub Bearings, wheel bearings, lower arm bushes, exhaust mounts, engine mounts, battery & clutch) all Replaced during my ownership.

    • Professional Geometry and Ride Height motorsport set up with -2.5 degrees front camber by SWR Motorsport in Stirling

    Interior:
    • Fully Welded Custom 'Scott McMinn Motorsport Fabrication' Rear Cage professionally spray painted in Anthracite with low angle harness bar.
    • Red Sabelt 'Steel Series' 6 Point Drivers & 4 Point Passenger Harnesses 2020 dated (Centre harness fixing points professionally welded with FIA spreader plates to the exhaust tunnel, drivers Anti Sub Strap fixing points professionally welded with spreader plats, and fuel lines protected in that area)
    • Corbeau Sprint XL FIA Bucket Seats 2020 dated (specifically HANS compatible), K-Tec Subframes (Drilled out to accommodate seat), OMP Side Mounts. Drivers seat has a seat runner to accommodate all sizes of driver. All fitted using high tensile bolts.
    • Full Airbag Delete using Renault software CLIP (so no warning lights on dash at all) including passenger airbag under dash.
    • Rear Interior Delete (rear door cards, roof lining, rear seats) front door cards & front carpet all remaining
    • Renaultsport Sabelt 330mm Steering wheel, fitted with OMP Boss, custom made Real Carbon Fibre 6 Button Cruise Control bracket (to retain full horn and cruise control functionality) Only ever used with gloves, so steering wheel in mint condition, not 'shiny' or matted at all - as new and protected with Gtechnic Smart Fabric to keep it this way.
    • Genuine RenaultSport Floor Mats

    Wheels, Tyres and Exterior:
    • Genuine R26.R Boot Lid Spoiler professionally spray painted and fitted in 100% Matching Deep Black
    • Standard R26 Multispoke Alloys with Toyo R888-R Tyres in GG Compound (Medium) all alloys straight and true with no deflation at all, alloys have age related marks but nothing major at all, 1 alloy has light kerb scratch near the centre of it , alloys are not perfect but certainly don't look bad for the age as you can see in the pictures which were taken 2 days ago.

    Videos of the car Performing on track available on request via youtube and on my project thread, it is capable with a novice driver of consistent 62.5s laps at Knockhill, which would make it very competitive in Class E of Superlap Scotland, especially with a more experienced driver. It runs rings around 320Bhp Hawkeye Impreza's and other higher power cars.

    The car is highly usable and is a perfect weekend toy in addition to track car and wouldn't need trailoring at all, the car has enjoyed a great life of only 6*2 hour and 2* 4 hour tracknights and tours of some of the UK's most technical and undulating drivers roads in the Scottish Borders (home to the 2015 and 2016 Evo Car of the year tests) and is fantastically capable at both. IT hasn't be used a lot on track evident from the hours listed above.

    A conservative estimate of 70kgs have been taken out of the car through the above modifications (Primarily seatbelts, Front and Rear Seats, All airbags including passenger under dash airbag, roof lining, boot linings, rear door cards and rear speakers) with scope for a lot more should that be desired (front interior, Radio, Air Conditioning, Bonnet, Plastic rear windows etc etc etc).
    The R26 stated kerb weight standard is 1345Kgs

    The car of course has a lot of scope for more power output from the engine . (car is on OEM injectors, OEM turbo, and OEM Catalytic Converter, for example)

    The car was built with the ethos of the R26.R in mind with removing weight & increasing safety to provide a lighter, more raw driving experience- and has gone beyond that with modifications such as the ultra highly regarded class leading Dutch based AST adjustable suspension. The intercooler only allows intake temps to rise +2 degrees (yes two) over the ambient air temp at anytime on track and Airtec independently verified this as well on the nordschliefe - meaning no power loss at all through repeated use - The conservative remap ensures a far higher degree of engine robustness compared to more aggressive power outputs from the standard engine and of course doesn't require any fuel system modifications, and allows for a far greater range on track than cars with the popular 630cc injector upgrades.

    I am positive that the 1st person to view will buy this car, as its a chance to pick up a car meticulously cared for, professional serviced over and beyond whats required, and built professionally using nothing but the highest end motorsport components available with no expense spared (over £7,500 has been spent on upgraded parts exl labour alone during my ownership).

    Due to the age, the car of course has age related bodywork marks, stone chips to the rear quarters, and some light marking on the front bumper (only visible when lying or crouching down) - The car has never been involved in any kind of accident. The car of course, is never revved above 2.2k rpm before fully up to temp, and is always driven without load on the engine to ensure proper cooling after every use - over and above what would be required for the turbo and engine.
