    Ooo, interesting!

Superpro stuff is spot on in past experiences!

Don't know if i would be upgrading the ARB's though, Might order the rear beam bushes though

  2. Had to laugh at the description:

This transforms the car from massive understeer through the corners to a far more predictable lift off oversteer.

Since when has the Megane suffered from 'massive under steer' and since when is lift off over steer more predictable than said non existent under steer?

Im no suspension engineer but seems to me the car held the Ring record as Renault set it up and that kind of thing is a black art, I'd be very careful about bolting bigger ARBs on.

You mean the record lap that was full of understeer?

  4. Quicker than a lap full of lift off oversteer. Any FWD car is gonna under steer eventually but I hardly think the 250 suffers from it.

  5. I like the last paragraph where it says it "makes the Megane feel like a well sorted front drive performance car." I thought it was that straight from the box??

  6. Exactly, anyone would think they haven't even driven one.

  7. Try piling into a corner with a tank full of petrol and then decide if you want more lift off oversteer

  8. Anyone used these? Thinking of buying the bushes and roll bars, but unsure whether to get the 25mm front roll bar or 24mm front adjustable bar. Does anyone know what size the standard arb is? Thinking the rear arb and rear beam bushes would be a great upgrade.

  9. Yep I have one of these kits on my 250. I was initially going to get the entire kit, bars and bushes. But I had a recommendation to avoid the bushes as they significantly increase NVH.

I cant say exactly how significant an improvement the car has been following the installation of the swaybars alone. When I got the bars installed I did a coilover upgrade at the same time. I have a set of KW Competition 2-ways on the car.

Here is a thread with a lot more detail as to what I have done in terms of upgrades to the suspension, if you want further information. http://www.ozrenaultsport.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=26575

In terms of how the car handles now with the Competitions and the Superpro Swaybars, here is what I wrote when I first got them:
In terms of what it feels like, the ride is much firmer, but a good kind of firmer, its stiff but progressive, its not crashy at all. It may not be everyone's piece of cake though, its not very comfortable but I think its very driveable even as a daily. Ask me this question again after a long road trip.
Lateral roll is all but completely gone, it feels great. The car also pitches forward much less under braking. It feels like a flat and stable platform.
Turn in has improved due to the higher roll resistance, weight transfer across the front axle is much quicker and with the rear tending to oversteer a bit more, the overall rotation of the car is much better.

  10. Thanks for the reply

  11. Resurrecting a old thread. Where's the best place to get superpro bushs from. Plan on doing the full car

  12. Give Charlie at CGR a go, he can supply and fit all the Super pro stuff

I'd maybe hold off doing them tbh.

Im on my second set now and Neil has had constant issues destroying bushes at the Ring, So much so he now has different arms to go on from a Renault Specialist out there. Granted the Ring puts a lot more stress on things than UK tracks.

If mine go again, Ill either go back to stock arms or maybe grab some of the Renault Kirfel Arms, Granted they are almost 1000e

  14. I went for Powerflex (a couple of years ago now). After 15,000 miles they have started to crack.

Once the car is back on the road I'm going to keep monitoring them, in the hope they don't get any worse, but if I'm realistic they likely will.

My OEM bushes were knackered after 50k. Maybe OEM arms is a better option ...
